Im new to this game and I have a question about the science skill tree. I would like to do alot of debuffs and damage, but Idk where to start. I would like alot of opinons and guides of what I need especially for mostly skill tree tatical officers for my companions.
Well okay but what do you plan on flying? If you don't plan on flying science ships, that greatly narrows down the parts of the science tree that might be useful to you.
In general you want to minimize your investment into the science tree. There are very few skills worth having for every ship class, mainly just the shield ones. Even for a science ship, however, spreading your skills around in the tree is generally ill advised. Specializing your point spending so that you can focus on a few BOFF powers and put most of your skill points into the engineering and tactical tree for the passive benefits those skills offer, is generally a better use of your skill points.
So figure out what you want to do and it is easier to help you skill where you want.
