If you right click on some Doffs, typically blue and purple from what I've seen (but not all of them), you'll find a quote at the bottom. The Deferi Doffs both say something about balance, for example.

Heretic stated in another thread that there were commendation level gated recruitment missions. Seems like the right place to ask if anyone knows what they are and what level they appear. Maybe add them to the guide at the front if they are doffs and not boffs.

Only thing I've found so far as the onboard Military/Medical/etc Achievement assignments. So far only versions I've seen give a white boff, with no failure chance, no inputs, and no CXP. People with lots of tier 3 and 4 categories may be seeing more, but even the ones that start showing up at tier 2 are very rare.

I just got a very rare Ferengi cultural exchange in Alpha Centauri. And I know this was mentioned before but the very rare Caitain (also Alpha Centauri) was never edited into the original post.

There are too many doffs available from the various asylums to list, and the outcome is always random. The doffs Eklinaar specifically named are there because that's always the outcome of the colonial chains, so everyone always gets the same thing. That isn't true for asylum.

Has there been a recent change in unlocking doffs for dililithium after having reached a new commendation tier, or is diplomacy a special case. I've scrolled down to the very end, but I only have the ones aviable by requsition listed.

Yes, via duty officer assignment only, however. A fix is in the pipeline to make it somewhat more common as well.
