I seen the old thread but found it lacking.

Officer buildout wise what is your loadout.

I got the following:

Eng - EPTS1
Univ (Eng) - EPTS1, RSP
Univ (Sci) - Tractor, HE
Tac - Tac1, HYII, RFII, Omega (I think I might switch out with RFII and make RFIII)
Tac- Tac1, HYII, RFII


I never die unless I am being lazy in PVE and pretty hard to kill in PVP. I seem to be top dps on PVE (hard to tell no dps meters, I just see who the cube is targeting and its always me) but I am often 2nd or 3rd on PVP. That might just be reaction speed as I am still transitioning from clicky mouse to binding for my buffs (I got the bind key for shields, tac team, and fire all weapons).

Tell me what you think and give me some ideas on what I could do to mix it up and make it better. Thanks in advance.

Honeslty, what you have there is the typical build for an escort

Though I am on the side of CRF > Omega for the commander slot... some people disagree, but I use Omega just to get out of tractor beams, the damage boost feels minimal... but CRFIII is fun

But there is no consensus on which is better, so up to you

Everytihng else looks fine though (if not a bit typical )

i'd use both universals for engineering stations. i can live without science team, and the vulnerability to science spam, and as a result have near cruiser tanking ability with full escort dps. i'd use ET 1, 2x EPtS 1, Aux to Struc 1, and RSP 1

Do you not use Tac team? Eng Team shares teh same cool down so I tried this but never got to use Eng team since I was always using TAC team back to back.

know when to use tac team and when not too. its only really needed when you are getting alpha'ed by an escort, other wise you should be hitting the redistribute all key at all times wile being shot by anything.

Ok this is what I have found out to take advantage of the Eng consoles (lack of science as well) and the Universal slots.


BO Slots as follows

ENG - EPS1
ENG - EPS1, Aux to Struc
ENG - EPE1, RSP
TAC - TAC1, HYII, RFII
TAC - TAC1, HYII, Attack pattern any, RFIII

I seem to never die in PVP or PVE.

Got a full load of polaran weapons as well...lol...fun times.
