# 1 Ship interior synced with set?

Would it be possible to link what is displayed on the inside with the item set you are currently running? for instance, if your running the aegis set, you could have the tron like lighting along the bridge, the chairs, consoles, ect ect. if its the borg set, have the eerie green glow with assimilated consoles and the such everywhere. i just think this would give your ship a more personal appearance. it can already be done with the exterior of the ship, why not the interior?

Because the ship interiors are nothing more than separately made maps. Each one is created on demand when you visit your bridge, using pre-made sections.

In order to update the interiors to reflect equipped gear, they would have to rework every ship interior map piece to include a version for every possible equipped gear to cover all the possibilities you can configure on your own bridge. The workload for this would be enormous.

Besides, ship interiors have little to no value/use in the game as well (owing mostly to this "separate map" design)- thus the work put in to modified bridges would go largely unused/unappreciated since virtually nobody actually visits their bridges on a regular basis anyhow.
