# 1 Looking for a Fleet
01-20-2011, 06:48 AM
Hello,

After a brief hiatus, I come back to insane drama caused by the leadership in my old fleet (Aurora Fleet) and find that I must look for a new fleet to call home.

There are some end-game things I have done, and some I haven't, and some we tried and had a lot of laughs failing. There's been changes to the game while I was on break and I learn new stuff every day playing STO, but the game can be fun (even hilarious) if people give it half a chance and put away their egos and willingly have fun. I'm having a blast trying to figure out how to respec my toons! Can you say "oops"?

I would like to be in a fleet that's active (who wouldn't) and has enough people online to do content, like The Cure, CE, etc. I have done Infected several times (we had it down to roughly 50 minutes start to end), and I have tried Cure, but never got past the third stage.

I like to PvP also and used to help develop tactics and teams for my old fleet, plus I would help members do their PvP dailies when needed. I am still interested in helping with PvP or being active in this regard.

I can play almost anytime, and do, and I play Klingons as well though those toons have a fleet already. I have Ventrilo.

I only have two rules when joining a fleet:
- No fleets run by kids. I can not deal with 13 year-olds trying to explain to me the facts of life!
- No drama. Please. This is a game. If your fleet is prone to drama, I wouldn't be a good fit for you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

You may contact me here or in game (Vizan@Brembo) or drop me mail in game.

Have a great day!

I just wanted to take the time to let you know about Shadow Dragon Fleet. We offer 110% percent support to our members; We have a fully functioning website (www.shadowdragonfleet.webs.com) and a ventrilo server. We buy are players any equipment they need, we offer training to all of our members (our academy is run by experienced gamers who have MMO experience and have real life tactical experience and also role play experience) We are casual, knowledgeable, dedicated, very friendly, willing to lend a hand and assist the player in any way possible and we have skilled players that participate in pve and pvp. Shadow Dragon Fleet is also allied with other powerful fleets. opportunities are given to those who work hard. We also have higher positions available so there is plenty of room for advancement, and we cover all aspects of the game.

If you have any questions about the fleet feel free to send me a message here, or you can contact me through our site.

Greetings Brembo,

I invite you to check out the 44th. We are age 18+, and use ventrilo. We are probably not as big in size as your previous fleet, but we are friendly and casual. We run STF's, and some of us PVP. We usually have people online in the evenings in EST through PST. I, myself, am usually online late evenings PST.

You can check us out at sto.44thfleet.com

Yes please take a look at the 44th. we have a website at sto.44thfleet.com. As Latinum said we are mostly active in the evenings from EST to PST. we also try to run STF's as often as possible(if we have 5 people we usually run something). Can't say anything about Aurora Fleet as I've never played with them, however I can say that while relatively small, we do try to have fun. I'm usually on most of the afternoon and just about always in the evening EST. If you have any questions you can reach me in game at @Shadowfox1701.
I wish you luck in the search for a new home.

Best of Luck,

Greetings Brembo,
Why not check out 12th fleet. We a good sized fleet that does a little of everything. We are a laid back close knit group who understands that people have a life outside of the game. We have 2 PvP divisions Tactical which is space and Maco which is ground. We have weekly STF runs as well.

Hello Brembo

Welcome back to Star Trek Online, sorry to hear of your fleet troubles. I've taken the liberty of pointing out a few areas where UFP may be a better fit for you.

We run a regular variety events, focusing a lot on STFs right now in order to allow people to get the Borg loot, so I'm sure something will be of interest and use to you.
We've recruited quite a few either new to the game or returning so you wouldn't be the only one in that situation.
I agree with you on the having a laugh part. I did the Khitomer Accord with 4 other fleet members last night, took us almost 4 hours and while some areas were frustrating (the last ship seems to take forever to take down) we were laughing all the way through. You gotta see the fun side of things, and take a poke at the ridiculous situations you find yourself in some times. We use TeamSpeak 3, which if you've yet to use it, is an excellent VOIP application, and we run an active server (gametracker stats: http://www.gametracker.com/server_in...46.93.56:9987/). We use it for gaming naturally, but for all sorts of other things too, trivia nights, socialising, other Trek games, and our own TeamSpeak Star Trek game we play from time to time (never fails to be a laugh).

As aforementioned we're doing regular STF events, but even if you couldn't get into one, numerous on the fly events occur as well. Plus our forums are a great resource for putting together teams. We'll soon be refocusing efforts on developing our "Task Force" teams - a non-mandatory team you can join with people of a similar play style or time. More information will come on that soon.

We've actually got a PvP event on tonight I believe. Again PvP happens quite sporadically but it's something we do plan ahead for as well. We're always seeking feedback from our member base, so if people speak up and want a certain type of event more often, that's where our focus will be directed.

The UFP has a Klingon faction fleet too, which is slowly growing. Our Star Trek Online division head (Xar) has two top level Klingon characters and is always spearheading the Klingon front. As lead graphics designer for the fleet, I'm also keen to develop our new website with both a Federation theme and a Klingon theme which can be interchanged (work has already begun on this) so we're fully committed to both sides.

There is no age limit in the {UFP}, however we do enforce a certain level of maturity. Having said that, almost 85% of our membership (according to the latest poll) are 18 or over.
Drama is something I can safely say is not part of the {UFP} command. We were founded back in 2002 (purely PC Trek gaming), and I've been with the fleet almost since its founding. A lot of the top guys have been with the fleet for years too, and there is no way I could have survived almost 9 years in a fleet with overt egos and drama lol.

# 10 Warning.
02-07-2012, 09:39 AM
Just figured I'd give anyone looking at this person's thread a fair warning, this guy came into our Multi-gaming guild a few months ago, tried to force his way up our ranks by manipulation, and tried to break down our chain of command in the process.

He tried to push our leadership into using a loot system he 'developed' so he could use it to his advantage and steal raid loot from us in SWTOR.

We caught him up in his manipulation and rejected his ideas, and took away his officer ranking, which he didn't even earn - yet somehow weaseled his way into. In response, he mass e-mailed our guild members, insulting them and calling them names and trying to whine.

In general, this person is a really annoying, in-mature player that likes to force his ideas and his political bull on others. I'd suggest not recruiting this person, and if you do, don't let them past a recruit ranking.
