My primary character is an engineer and I have an assault cruiser (sovereign variant). She's my "little" baby.

After weeks and weeks of grinding for di and credits I start tweaking her with a fine tooth comb. And weeks later I managed to get her pretty much the way I wanted her so I go back to ker'rat and start picking for a fight. Things were going pretty well. I let them come to me with their typical klinky cloak and dagger stuff I get a 50% ownage rate and 25% get frustrated into submission and leave me alone. Satisfied over the work I put in I decide to kick back and take it easy for a while - STF, borg invasions, more relaxed demeanor and some farming.
So a few days later a friend of mine decides he's gonna play some klingons and he's got a brand new raptor and decides to pick a fight with me. We decided to go pvp and make it a best of 5. First round went to me, since he had no experience with klingons so I gave him pointers for ambush tactics and so on. The battle was long and grueling and never had so much fun in the history i played STO. In the end I won 3:2, after almost 90minutes of late night fighting and we both go bed with a big smile on our faces.
Days later we do it again and he STOMPS THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF ME with some antiproton and borg set build. It was still a long fight but this time i buckled and all my abilities ran dry and he managed to knock me down.
So it was quite obvious that I had to go back to the drawing board... but the problem is what to draw? Sure he has antiproton build, but the rest won't... Sure he has borg shields but others might not have that...
SO WHAT DID I DO WRONG, HOW DO I FIX IT?!?
Obviously as an engineer dps is not important to me, im going for survivability but I don't know how to tweak it any further. Im going to include my complete loadout to you so you can examine what im packing yourselves. Since im gonna change it anyways, there is no purpose to hide it from you.
Any tips from you PVP grinders would be apreiciated!
