Technically, you can purchase a c-store points without spending any real money.

This is the key difference and why they can legally argue it's not gambling.

Someone had to spend money to put points on the exchange to begin with. The only people who actually get "free" points are lifers who signed on before the stipend was part of the deal.

I object to the gambling, but I think poker would be fantastic (so long as the bets are in EC/Dil/GPL and not CP).
