# 1 Graphics card help requested
02-11-2012, 04:03 PM
Recently I have been having a problem with my graphics card involving 3D rendering. The issue is not unique to STO, but this is the most active forum I visit so if anyone can identify the problem I'm having, it would be appreciated. I pic of the problem is linked below, I think my graphics card is dying can anyone confirm this?

Most likely overheating, maybe you have too much dust in the heat sink cancelling the air flow.
If you smoke try to do it way from your pc...I have found tar clogging up broken vid cards from people I know.

When a card dies you will get dots of red blue green all over the screen.

Also make sure your not overclocking your gpu.
Return it to defaults.
Hope this helps...good luck
