^ It's making them too much money to do so, and as long as the dollar bills are rolling in, we are the ones that are getting the lawls and rolled over.

The entire thing is a scam.

I wouldnt mind as I dont live in any of those states.

Block them from participating in any of said events too. Ip blocking may be too much.

Everyone except residents of those states get a chance to win the galor.
Yeah those residents wouldn't have to worry federal trumps state and federal says if you follow their rules you are good to go.

That wouldnt really prove anything, because its likely that most of the messages are correct even if some are not. Not to mention the fact that those people may not want lots of people mailing them.

Well, in that case they could complain to Cryptic and threaten to ignore their next grab bag.:p Since they are obviously the people who actually gamble their word may count more than that of a few veteran gold users.

That maybe , but the problem they may well get is, this is been done internationaly and if one recalls my Law A'level (common law/torts) ...ok, over 20 years ago now... it's illegal to do so in the UK ( and more than likely Europe (esp Germany where they have some very tough laws on this sort of thing) aswell) and if they are "lying" to us... may even come under the false advertising and possibly fraud..... not that any notice would be taken.

A particularly bad one, actually... it might've influenced sales in the short run, but the PR nightmare it might spawn would be an ugly thing.

Imagine what the people calling for legal/political action on this issue might do with the information that the prize alert was "bogus".

Doesn't matter that it was unintentional or a bug. It only needs to be spun as intentional to make Cryptic look bad.
