A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
For the most part people arent a big fan of the quad phaser/disruptor cannons in the game at present. x3 DMG mod is after all kinda fail, as well as they stop scaling at mk X. My idea is pretty simple and would fix them to be useful, without making them OP.
At current the quads are a weapon. How about we change it to a unique tactical console that scales at lvl50 to a mk XI very rare % energy based console. By making it unique 1 per ship people couldnt claim 4 of them for easy very rare consoles. With the energy based console % being the same as a MK XI at lvl50 it would make them useful and not a wasted tac slot. The visual effect could be enable and disabled like any of the borg/maco/aegis gear. The effect would only be applyed to dc/dhc that are equiped.
And of course since only the Galaxy X/Escorts can use quads that limitation would still apply. To boot this would allow you to have Antiproton/disruptor/polaron etc quad cannon graphic, and would work for both the fed and klingon sides.
What do you guys think?
1 tac console, unique 1 per ship, limited to galaxy x/escorts.
Adds quad cannon graphics for any Dual cannon/ Dual heavy cannon.
Same +% to energy weapons as a mk XI very rare at lvl50 as it scales up.
It leaves mk 12 gear as tops still but still very useful for all who have it.
