# 1 DS9 background nebula missing

how DS9 background is supposed to look

is this happening to anyone else?

also i play with max settings at all times and i'm using an ATI HD 5770.

That is probably the new map scene for ds9. The map was due an update before the new FE launch but was delayed till thursday just gone. So no more brown nebula, but should contain some purple nebula somewhere.

well that explains it then, since there is a purple nebula, but its somewhat small and the space still looks "emptier", with far less stars than any other star system, thats why i thought it was a graphic bug lol.

This is the proper ds9 bacdrop, the are fixing all the backdrops as time permits aswell as planets and other texture updates.

Personally im glad there making space look like space, nice and black with nebulas only being used sparingly for when it is truely needed due to the space there being unique like tumerboy puts it too. Thank god for him as i have always wished this of sto.
