# 1 Helping Lower Levels
02-29-2012, 06:28 AM
It used to be that doing patrol missions, if your team mate(s) were lower levels they could start a patrol
misison and you could help them out as a higher level.

Is this not the case anymore? I can have them match my level which is fine, but then their weps are worthless.

What's the correct way now of doing this?

When you team and bring someone to your level their weapons increase in power. For example, if you're a Captain teaming with a Lieutenant their Mk I photons become Mk VIIs - the minimum level for a Captain. If they're seeming less power that's probably because a T1 ship has 3 weapon ports while a T4 has 7ish.

if u want to help him out faster u should set the lower lvl guy as squad leader and match his lvl thereby making u an unstoppable force even at Lt lvl missions.the avg Lt ship has 3 weapons slots while u prolly have 6 or 7 plus all the extra capt and boff abilities.i love doing low lvl missions in a max lvl toon especially in my klink carrier where even at low lvl matching,my support craft end up doing more dps than all the enemies put together lol
