I suggest when you right click a player's ship and go to the "Info" Option, it shows their current ship configuration. Such as, Consoles, Weapons, Shields, Deflector, Crew, Accolade Points, and current info you already show.
Same goes for ground, when you click on a character, it shows relevant information such as skills, devices, shields, weapons, armor, etc...
I really don't know why this is not in the game already unless it is a engine limitation. Players work hard and spend lots of time to get rare items and compete with one another. With this feature, The community could show off all their hard work to other players.
Virtually every mmo has this feature and i would love to see it in Star Trek Online.

Edit: you could add this feature and disable it in PVP matches if dev's and players are worried about players getting advantages from knowing other player's setups.
