Q: (ForsettiTyr) It seems counter intuitive that a F2P game limits the number of ships a character can have; since ships can be purchased from the C-Store. Will the hard limit (currently 39) on ship slots for a character be increased or removed? Currently , I am unable to purchase slots.

You can claim c-store bought ships again if you discharge them. This is not possible with one-time purchases made ingame (which includes ships from boxes and events like the Odyssey).

And this also includes ships purchased using Rank-Up ship tokens, as these count as a one time purchase, and cannot be reclaimed...
OMG, you can actually dismiss and then reclaim c-store ships? Didn't know that. Very nice. I wanted to buy a ship but didn't want to buy ship slot extension with it.
Also, if you unmount the special console/item that comes with the C-store ship (assuming that it's not Unique, limited to one-per-character), and put it in your inventory/bank before dismissing the ship, and then re-claim the ship, you will get a new copy of the item with the re-claimed ship. This can be handy to have multiple copies of the item. Beware though that only the Fore and Aft Retrofit Phasers can have multiples mounted on the same ship, out of the available special items that come with C-store ships.
