# 1 MVAE BOFF revamp please

for being 2,000 c-points and the supposedly one of the most powerful escort ship ( i know there is arguments between akira and defiant). I am surprised how annoying the ships BOFF positions today. Compared to the most similar one, Advanced escort it has the EXACT stats except for BOFF's.

Advanced Escort _____________________MVAE
Commander tact ______________________Commander tactical
Lt. Commander tact____________________ Lt. tactical
___________________________________ Ensign tactical

Lt. Engineer__________________________Lt. Engineer

Lt. Science__________________________Lt Commander Science
Ensign Science

So we lose a Lt. Commander tactical for a Lt. and ensign.
but we exchange a Lt. Science and Ensign for a Lt. Commander.

For being the most advanced tactical escort in game atm, we seem to get a worst BOFF slots than a Advanced Escort. This doesn't seem to be quit fair and the lack of that Lt. Commander tact slot makes many setups hard as you must sacrifice a upper end BOFF ability for a ensign ability.

My personal opinion is that the slots should be similiar to the Exploration and Long range science vessel.

1x Lt commander tactical
1x Commander tactical
1x ensign tactical
1x Lt. Engineer
1x Lt. Science

or the Dreadnought BOFF's

1x Lt. Commander tactical
1x Commander tactical
1x Lt. Engineer
1x Lt. Science
1x Ensign Science

I know that this is not going to make everyone happy but it seems more appropriate than the current BOFF's. I would love to make one of the Science slots a universal but I doubt that would happen. I would like to see the most expensive escort to be also on par with its lesser brother the advanced escort. I would love to know what the designers were thinking and why they gave them the current BOFF's.

if you dont like it, put your MVAM console on the regular advanced escort and fly that ship

the console works on it.

I think that you are missing the point of overlapping cool downs on Tac skills. Unless you are running, beams, cannons, and torpedios, you run into overlapping cooldowns with tac bridge office skills in the LT Commander spot. The LTC Science is very useful for tanking abilities that do not have over lapping cool downs. Also, you can use gravity well. Gravity well and scatter volley 3 is a pretty amazing combo attack especially on smaller targets. Multiple gravity wells and scatter volley from multiple ships mean optional objectives on STFs.

I am going the other direction. I am putting my sci and engineers into MVAE because Cypric has turned this into a DPS game. It is just plain embarrassing for my main tac to do normal PVE missions. Everything dies in under 15 seconds.

My Klingons are running Gumbas that have the LT Commander Tac console. I am struggling with what to put in these spots due to the overlapping cool down issue. I love the Gumbas but I feel that I am wasting BO spots.

At this point, there are only 4 ships that I like. Gumba, MVAE, and Defiant R Refit. All cost money. If you see Tacs running anthing else in an STF face the fact that they are noobs.

Calling people Noobs for running a free ship in a free to play game is a bit harsh. Yes they could farm up enough Dilithium to get the C-Points to buy the ship but with only 1 character that will take quite a long time.

At 220 : 1

440,000 : 2000 and that's 55 days worth of Dilithium, And that's after they learn how to farm efficently.
