Have we come to expect Cryptic to screw things up so often that we now assume that all things they do are screwed up before even they are used and/or tested?
It does seem like more and more players are jumping at shadows and complaining about things that are not always as broken or unfair as they think.

Let me see, PvP arena 30 mins ago fed char named Dog , in a fed escort 50 mill heal points in 12 mins lol!

20 mins later cap and hold Klink char named Rhehana in a Carrier 20mill heal points.

Tell me Roach whats the average heal by klin k or fed who has execelent healing skills, in my excelsior i have manged 1.2mill agianst klinks who have killed every one except me. so how deos an escort get 50 mill and a carrier get 20 mill? you wanna explain? O by the way i have degree in Chemistry which does in volve complex numbers before you question my ability to read scores!

This has nothing to do with factional differences. The shield interacts in an unintended way with a couple of Duty Officers, specifically the Shield Distribution doff. Right now you don't have to heal yourself, you just have to get the enemy to shoot at you.

I don't know about that, actually.. Even though lately I have been the last to defend things being said by Cryptic.. This time how ever I believe it's true.

Sure they might have one or two guys who casually enjoy PVPing, I don't think they have anyone who is a Hardcore PVPer. Some one who enjoys the challange of playing in STO against another player more then the PVE Stories and majority of what STO has to offer. Not to mention even if they have one or two employes who enjoy PVPing in STO, that is out of how many people in their office? Maybe 30? And those people might not even be among the design and development part of the team. Which in turn could be a major problem where PVP is concerned because who knows if those peoples voices are going to get heard as eaisly as if it were D-Stahl, or Al Rivera who would be the Major PVPers in their Office. Not to mention that the bugs that have been found have been by multiple people that are in major fleets (TSI for example) that are soley focused on PVP while the rest of Cryptic just is not. Which is why we get situations that happen such as Consoles being given to any ship. Or some ships that are just superior in PVP to other ships. (Defiant-R, Excelsior, Science powers in general)

Now if Cryptic would have had a Devoted part of the team, say 20% of their development team that was also PVP Balance testers who could be given something that they wanted to introduce, and those people could test it, and be able to say "Hey, this might be fine in PVE, but honestly in PVP this ship/ability is too powerful." And be able to even show a way to make that new concept balanced in PVP while keeping it's original implimentation valid could have seen alot of better changes come out. Maybe even some good PVP maps, or interesting PVP Only powers and items in general.

I mean let's face it, there are members of the community, my self some times included, who feels that Cryptic does not play all aspects of their product (Note I said all aspects, not just doesn't play their game) other wise perhaps there would be better, or longer testing and bug hunting situations happening behind the scenes, and it wouldn't be relied as much on the player community to bring foward some of the major bugs that do come out in such bad lights.

Should people be fired over minor mistakes? Not really. Provided they can learn from those mistakes, and make sure they don't happen again. Should Cryptic take more time in producing their Tribble to live patches? Absolutely. When they say something like "We're going to leave a build on tribble for X days/weeks or what ever and then tweek the build after reviewing comments", it should be there and they should watch what types of issues are brought out and then instead of just releasing the product with the state of mind of "Oh well we heard a few statements but didn't feel anything was needed to be fixed" after only 3 days on tribble. And then have issues crop up and wonder "Why is this part of the community upset when we're doing our best to bring out the best content we can to the community?" Because if you can't honestly see that it causes more harm then giving the players a better chance to really test and help debug, and balance (Both PVE and PVP) those new Powers/Ships/Maps/etc.. then perhaps you should start looking for people that can help you do that.
