# 1 Proposed Escort Build

Hey there.

So, I am not a PVPer, but I know PVPers have some of the best, optimized builds in the game. I'm a PVEr who has been grinding out STFs in between DOFF assignments. While my current setup is fine, there are times when I feel I am not getting optimized damage dealing.

So I want to turn to you fine folk for help. Below you will see my current build. Please be gentle.

I'm a Tactical Captain.

Also, under the build I am thinking about is a respec I am seriously considering. Feel free to give me your thoughts and suggestions on that, too.

I did review that before and incorporated some of the tips in my build, so thanks! Good to know I am not Doing It Wrong. I just .. I am not a fan of AP:Omega. Long cooldown.

But I am willing to try it again.

I went for AoE damage because STFs seem to need it, whether it be probe duty in KA, or protecting the Kang in Cure. Problem is, I find AoE draws huge amounts of aggro. All the Borg want to be my special friend when I fire a volley :/

Your tactical slots, should provide you with Possibly the best damage output you could for pve, but In pvp I think personaly that scatter volley can be replaced with Rapid fire, and the simple reasoning for this is as an escort your there to score kills and not be sustained dps over their entire group.

There is no "right" way to setup a ship in pvp tho, but maybe you can take a look at my escort setup and try it in pvp and see if you like that for yourself.

Im very interested in knowing how u got a total of 23 points in admiral space skills. not that i doubt you, i just dont see how u did that.

Yes, my tac slots are where I am most concerned (aside from the respec).

As I said before, I am not a PVPer, but know you PVP folk have some great builds. I did try swapping out the TS for HY and the CSV for CRF but found it was actually slightly slower at killing groups of probes (in KA) or BoPs/Raptors (in Cure)

I can totally see why you'd want single-target powers in PVP though, since the AoE powers do less damage on a particular target.

I picked APB for the high level slots because I can cycle it. While I hear APB is worthless in PVP (tac team clears it) I just wanted to get some PVPer comments on its effectiveness in PVE (STF's specifically).

But thanks for your input!

On a different note, anyone care to comment on my proposed respec too?

I haven't actually implemented the respec yet - I was using the STO Skills planner at http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/index.php

So if it's off, that's why.
