My favorite thing about GoG: Their games are fixed to run on newer computers. At one point I was literally running an emulator on a virtual machine on another virtual machine just to make some of my old games work and run at a manageable speed.

The original Fallout is free to download today, apparently.

That was jheinig's first big gaming job, as I recall.
I paid for it. Twice (old copy got scratched to ****). I still have it, and the sequel, installed. The first two Fallouts are probably my favourite all time games. Even today they're still worth more than most games selling for fifty or sixty new...

Purchased Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri there just a couple weeks ago. Awesome to be able to play it again!
As a gamer, I hate GOG. It used to be that when I got nastolgic for some old game I had to go dig up a copy somewhere, more often than not there would be compatibility issues and I would have to tinker for a good hour or more just to get it running smoothly. Knowing this I would get the hankering to play some favorite game from my past, remember how much of a headache it would be just to get setup, then decide to actually do something productive instead.

Now with GOG, its quick, easy, and cheap.

GOG, you are stealing all my free time, and I resent you for it!
