I really haven't had that much of an issue. My cruiser runs the 3p Borg & MK12 maco shields. Only time I really have an issue is with CPB/TBIII, even then I have enough heals to deal with it. However, I have noticed the general frailty on shields across the board, whether or not they are maco/khg/omega/etc. Maybe when power insulators start working again this will even itself out.

cruisers dont really tank in this game, compared to the volume of damage being dealt the difference in hitpoints between all the ships is minor. what they actually do is heal themselves the best, their heal volume staying above the damage volume just looks like tanking

Tetryon Glider probably

As cannons and turrets fire more rapidly they get more benefit from Tetryon Glider bonus shield strip that is based on every attack , this makes any decent escort using Cannon Rapid fire or scatter volleys able to strip your shields very quickly as they will get this bonus on every shot from thier 3 or 4 x cannon and also on each of thier turrets .

A decent escort using tet glider can strip your shields in a few seconds

IMO Tet glider needs changed

Or they fix the resist. Tet glider is strong since it has no counter. If shields stopped working one day people would then claim Torps are OP and need to be fixed rather then the shield.

Really the proper fix would be too not add a tier 2 skill that negates pretty much anything useful in the sci end of the pool.

Tet glider should have always been a chance to proc... something like 7.5% that the borg weapons have a chance to proc would have been proper.

In case you weren't aware, the field generator has been nerfed to about half it's original effectiveness, but is now stackable.

Did they change some mechanic regarding to shields or cannons or both? Something is up. Not sure what though.

On a side note my escort that I fly sometimes are destorying through shields too fast with cannons when they shouldn't be. Tank based players should be able to tank, not get blown up in a few seconds.

Any leads could be helpful. Any new exploits, hacks or bugs? Is Tet Glider still bugged or fixed? I'm going to have to talk to my contacts inside the best pvp fleets and find out what is going on.

Anyone notice the same thing? I got a bad feeling about this for some reason.

Take Care!

Cannons with the Tet Glider can destroy shields in a matter of mere moments. Though if you are on a serious tanking boat then shields are a bit irrelevant. A Cruiser that cannot Hull Tank is a joke in STO. I can survive STF"s and PvP all the same without sweating a drop thanks to proper Hull Tanking. Not exactly Trek at ALL but... There you have it.
