Hi all the post not far below has given me an idea, what if we had another universe you could play in. The universe from JJ Abrams Star Trek movie. You could be in the TOS era in another universeQ would be awesome. A whole new slew of ships items and technology. Just for fun Cryptic could make the entire user interface completely different! It would be like a whole different game because it would be so different in every way. shields that are not sphereical faster fights. ect.
i HAVE BEEN WAITING TO PLAY THIS GAME SINCE I FIRST HEARD OF IT. I AM IMPRESSED AND IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER.
i WOULD LOVE TOI SEE SOME FREE PLANETARY ACTION, SUCH AS THE ABILITY TO BEAM DOWN TO ANY PLANET AND FIGHT WITH OTHER PLAYERS WHO HAVE CAMPED OUT THERE MAYBE DOING SOME REASEARCH ON THE PLANETS, IN OTHER WORDS JUST BEAM DOWN TO ANYWHERE, AND MAYBE FIND STUFF ON MOONS, AND ASTEROID MINING ETC.
How about getting all the quadrants done before we even consider other universes, seriously I been waiting to explore the delta quadrant since before this game came out and I really wanna see that done first.
But it would be nice to see some ships and gear from that movie, I really don't think they should make another universe just for a few small things, instead just give them to us in the c-store, the retro enterprise & bridge, uss kelvin, vulcan ship and those silver stun guns.
They've said before that they don't have a license to use material from that universe. JJ Trek is owned by Paramount, Cryptic's license is from CBS and only covers prime universe trek.
