A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
I think it’s time we talk about this relationship – as i’ve come here and participated in different threads – sometimes campaigning for ideas- sometimes against them. I’ve noted a common thread.
posters tend to have this notion that they are here to beg for changes from the developers – and they try and be nice and kiss butt when they can (some of them), hoping maybe one day they’ll see through to perhaps pitying us and hand down a small gift - if we are nice.
And honestly, it makes me sad.
In my mind – we are the consumer – they are a potential provider. They should be trying to keep us happy –[not the other way around!] – to want to spend money at their store – to want to come back again and bring a friend.
But it’s even more delicate than that – if we arent happy – we walk with our money.
My point is this : Cryptic, we are basically here trying to TALK you into taking OUR money.
And every few weeks that go by when you see zero movement on what you’d like to see – and more and more jaded posters barking loudly at otherwise well thought out posts it gives me a sad.
I’m certain that 1 poster isnt going to change the way a company runs – and honestly i wouldn’t want it to be that way – but i’ll hold on to the hope that one day the posters here and the good ppl at cryptic sorta roll outta bed one morning and realize – oh crap – maybe we should do things a little differently. And maybe the forums will become even more constructive than they are now. And maybe they’ll make great changes with the game, a little more revenue will come in – and maybe they’ll hire a few more pro coders to help out the A – team that’s already working on pvp.
*shrugs*
One can hope anyway. I’m just making this post to try and remind the people here who may have forgotten or never realized this.
