Looks like enough feds whined and cryptic finally caved ... The fed carrier is here. Im sure the klinks are ticked about it. I wonder how its going to affect pvp? It wouldnt shock me if even less klinks bother with KvF now.

IMO, the idea of a fed carrier blows. Next you know, feds will be getting a BOP. So much for keeping something unique for the KDF.

Our fleet ambassador deleted all her characters and rage quit in protest. A bit extreme, but gotta respect her for standing on her principles.

as for the fed carrier, I don't approve of it. but you have to admit it's an damn sexy ship. and think at most it should be a dreadnought cruiser...

on the subject of a feds getting a BOP, of course we'll get one. it'll be in a lock box right along the T5 Constitution class and a liberated borg sphere...

and really, she's got some moxie, and someone should tell her that she shouldn't stand on her principals, she could get suspended, trust me... I stepped on one of my principal's by accident back in high school and got three days of ISS ( In School Suspension )

Ran into a minor prob last night so I wasn't able to get back online last night until past 1am (Pacific). Sorry I missed ya Yuri. On the bright side, I did get in a nice Infected run with successful optional completion. The DPS on the team was pretty amazing. We had 2 engineers running mines, and everyone had at least a pulsewave. One thing about pulsewaves, is that each shot can hit multiple borg, even the primary fire. Though it's technically not an AOE, it can go "through" borg. So if you have multiple drones lined up, you can shoot all of them with 1 shot. If you have several people on the team using it, the borg die really fast. And the secondary shot IS an AOE short range but high damage shot with knock back. I'm starting to wonder if the Tr-116 is worth it for overcoming borg adaptation. It's single target only, and I'm not sure if the damage is on par with a 'regular' sniper. The 'level-less' gear doesn't usually have the same DPS as the purple gear, especially the mark XII with [Borg] modifier. And if you have either of the MACO or omega sets, borg adaptation is a complete non-issue. The remodulation is literally instant.

Yeah, can't say I'm looking forward to more carrier spam on the fed side now. Think I'll avoid PVP for a while.

Yeah the tr116 rifle is nice but at this point I think there are better options out there. The pulsewave is great .... I run with a mkxii antiproton + borg and the maco rifle. My klink has the honor guard pulsewave and mkxii antiproton sniper + borg.

The thing about infected is the balance with patience and speed ... a butt load of dps helps. You have to pull them from behind the trigger line but you can't wait and try to kill them all b4 u rush in. I've also leared that avoiding push/knock back shots during the pull stage helps. The one time a splitbeam comes in handy ... go figure. I usally just unhighlight the sniper shot from autofire.

And before anyone else decides to rage quit ..... give me ur dilith

The funny thing is that I HAD a split beam from a while ago, back when you still got Marks of Valor. I had a mark X split beam with [Borg] modifier from the valor store in battle group omega. But I so seldom used it that I ended up just vendoring it after a while, especially when you could craft the mark XI purples. Well, I got plenty of salvage, so I guess I can pick another one up to have on hand. What else am I going to use the salvage for anyway?

Also bought 2000 CP using dilithium the other day. Hoping to cash back in when the price moves up on the exchange as everyone is buying their carrier. There's gotta be SOME silver lining to the feds getting a carrier.

ISE run last night yielded a Prototype Borg Shield Tech so I picked up the M.A.C.O Mk XII Shield I'm hoping it'll serve me well, it's my first Space Prototype Tech Drop...

The TR-116a is a decent weapon in the hands of a Tac, Fire team kit is really good, add in a large ground weapon battery and you can do some major damage, but it's not the end all weapon. but it sure dose come in handy some times so I keep it in my inventory...
