The portable shroud generators are out of hand on the ground. You should not be allowed to buff up, walk to up a person, and one shot them with out any detection. Plus have a damage resist when coming out of cloak.
The funny thing is once they're out of cloak, if u can manage to survive and retaliate, the person that was cloaked is running away.
If Cryptic wants to work in PvP, stop with the devices that make it impossible to defend against.
The shroud devices you speak of from the Of bajor mission are the least of the problems. Don't forget there are 4 total methods of stealth currently built into this game.
1. The shrouds you speak of.
2. Stealth Module from Operative Kit
3. Ambush from Operative and Fire Team Kit.
4. Distortion Field from 2 piece Omega Force set
The exploit with tacts mostly comes from stacking 3 and 4 stacking to the point where no tricorder scan or target optics can detect a player even at 1 meter away. This is also where the the stealth grenade rings come from. This is a broken game mechanic and an exploit. Anyone using this should be met with the same tactic. This was covered in a thread I made weeks ago.
But yes stealth needs to be removed from ambush the distortion field rating needs to be nerfed a bit. Also make distortion field a power that cannot be activated while under stealth module. Also make any other form of stealth non activatable while under a portable shroud generator. This will solve all this games double stealth problems. But of course as with space these suggestions will fall on deaf ears since it doesn't fit with the policy of dumbing down sto's pvp for the masses.
