I like the Thunderchild, I'd love it if it had nacel placement more like the Akira, to me it looks funky to have them over the saucer, and even using the Akira pylons is a limited fix because you loose access to the type 6 material, which is awesome, and because the nacels sit a strange angle.

If Akira went T5 I'd probably use it, but I wouldn't buy the TC variant until there was a satisfactory way to have the nacels in the under Saucer configuration.

I'll have to check that out when I get home tonight. I didn't notice it at all. I have the Akira's pylons on now.

I would use the Thunderchild any day, if it was T4 or T5. As such, it does not make much sense to buy.

Ahhhh... the thunderchild.... The Point Defense System is amazing!!! I kill the engines, use the System for the 10 seconds to take away one of the shields, then fir Torp:HY III with quantums... It can take out flagships!!!

I'd like to see the Akira retrofitted as a Tier 5 Cruiser. I know sounds insane right? I don't think it ever really sat right as a Escort.

Make it a Battle Cruiser and give it the Vor'Cha stats. I'd like to see it have the Excelsior Layout but I'll settle for something else. How about Give it both Lt stations as Tac and make it light on Science with only an Ensign.
