Last night at Kerrat was really fun ... for the evil Klinguns!
As usual I was cloaked to ambush the enemy carriers that are always escorted by numerous and invisible Bops and Raptors.
I have attacked dozens of times a Kar'fi and a Vo'quv and I vaporized them only three times and that is when they were not able to launch the siphon drones, which I call the sucking drones.
It's really frustrating to lose rapidly energy while the targ pack is focus firing and you can't run away.
It's impossible a tactical retreat because the draining effect to the subsystem engine power is too fast and APO1 and all the movement buffs are useless.
Then I did some experiments giving all the energy to the shields, activating TSS2 after an aux battery and the BFI also because I have the three famous Doffs, and were always cycling EPTS1 with EPTS2 and also two TT1, while I continued to desperately hit the carrier.
Or I tried with all the energy and the buffs to the shields but with a weapon battery to keep an high power to my guns.
Well, against those damned sucking drones there is nothing to do because all the energy disappears too quickly!
What is worse is that they are always active after a few seconds of delay, so they are OP and almost without CD ...come on...
Next time I'll use the AMS and the ICC consoles even if I hate the toy consoles...but in war everything is allowed as that damned Romulan says...:p
I don't understand why PvE players seem to think they need all these gimmicks to be effective. I have yet to encounter a PvE mission that requires any more than my weapons and a shield heal or 2. You guys are not affected by player powers, we are. So yes, we are going to complain when something is blatantly over-powered when compared to existing counters.
It does seem that pets were toned down a bit. My FAW appears effective against them, now, at least.
