AH maybe the entire movie was a holodeck simulation written by star fleet accademy drop outs who wanted to be proper officers
which would explain why none of them are anything like the real deal

where's the fun in that espically if we can't explore the things we've only seen with our eyes trek wise

To be honest, the issues pertaining to CBS not having access to the Paramount-owned 2009 movie content due to licencing issues notwithstanding, there is plenty that the dev's could do with existing content.

They never finished the Iconian story-thread for example.....
