Hey,

Getting all sorts of errors when trying to log in.

First I get stuck at the Retrieving list of maps screen forever. Then I get Login Server Disconnected. Then I just saw something about having trouble transfering to map, would I like to safe login, which I chose.

Now I've got Connection to Login server has timed out. I'm getting 3mbps on a speed test so I don't the issue is my end.

Anyone else?

So I have logged a ticket. I can get in but the lag makes the game unplayable and I frequently see the disconnected from server notice in red.

The issue is specific to STO. LotRO, SWTOR and other remain unaffected. I have rebooted, rebooted my router, turned off all firewalls, and even tried on a different machine (my laptop is a gaming laptop but I usually play on my desktop).

Run the 'Trace Route' & 'Net Test' diagnostic programs described in this thread...
http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...d.php?t=225155

and post the results here... It sounds like you have issues on how your connecting tot he STO servers, and without further information it is not possible to give advice on how to correct your problem...

issue has resolved itself...

Which is almost as annoying as the issue itself. It came from nowhere and went back there but until when?

Thank you for you attention regardless

This potentially highlights the problem you've been having... The connection indicate a big spike in your response time associated with VOCUS.net.au, (which appears to be the trans-pacific cable provider...)

There are known capacity issues with Trans-Pacific cable connections... (simply not enough of them to handle the bandwidth demand...) So under peak-usage periods, the problem may reappear...
