Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
..why would it be? why would any cruiser be at that?
You want to turn on a dime you go escorts/bop
You want to turn on a quarter you go Sci ships
You want to turn on a quarter with a buttload of glue you go Galaxy
Dont even think about it with carriers.
Thats why I re-used my commander level cruiser. I really didn't notice the downsides of that as much as I didn't miss the poor performance of te Galaxy.
my vorcha with maxed turn skill and 2 consoles can get 22 turnrate, it can even use DHC in pvp pretty well. my exclecior with the same can only turn at about 16. the sliding scale with how turning works is such a joke in this game, the best a galaxy can ever do is proboly 11.
Well, they have been looking for a place to slot the Ambassador class, maybe a Captain level cruiser with a better turn rate is the perfect thing.
I don't have any problems flying a turn 6, tho. Just load up on some heals and tank thru. I realize it's not everybody's cup of tea, but its only 10 levels. I'm pretty sure a blind chip that didn't spend any skill points could make it to RA in a Type-8 rainbow turret build.
You can always choose the escort or sci ship for that rank if you can't manage the 6 turn rate.
I always thought the Ambassador should be the tier 3 Cruiser, because that Cheyenne class is ugly as sin. I don't know what it is, but any Federation ship with more than two nacelles in the saucer/hull/nacelle design type bugs me.
I'd love to see the guide to beating captain levels in 5 hours.
I did 2-3 story missions, that knocked out a lvl each. Some epic Pvp for a few hours, and the rest Duty Officer missions. Mind you this is actually over a week because I'm a part time student, have two jobs, and a happy girlfriend.
So yeah, it can be done in about 5-7 hours of gameplay, but it took me a whole week to get that 5-7 hours.10 - 15 min. of setting up 20 duty officer missions 2-3 times a day add up to alot of xp and dilitium income (mainly contraband)
And what if one doesn't like or care for pvp at all? .
Run missions. They give about a lvl each and take about a hour to do. Between them, set up the all DoFF missions that last an hour of less, and go to multiple places to fill your 20 mission slots. Earth orbit, Starfleet academy, Sol sector space are all whitin one click of each other.
PVP in a Galaxy class isn't all that fun anyway. DoFF's are the way to go. I was writing down all the exp I was gaining but i reached 50 before I could bother to calculate how much I was getting per day. (almost one lvl per day)
