# 1 RCS console

Do you think it needs fixed yes or no.

I mean come on if you got a MK XII i think its 40% or some thing but even with a 35% adjust meant i think its like 3 to 5 depends on the ship.35% i think should be a little more Percentage like 10% more for different ships.Be cause the RCS console is very deceptiv on its turn rate %.It all so very's from ship to ship as well.

But in some since some ship are bigger and some are really tiny i think the RCS should give a bigger boost on Bigger ships then the small ships i mean the small ships move very fast as is

What are your thoughs

I would have to disagree, it is all about game balance. The boost is percentage based off of your current turn rate of 360 degree. This is the reason bigger ships get smaller boost they start out with a smaller turn rate. If bigger ships got bigger boost every one on the fed side would be running dreadnoughts or cannons and hulls bonuses. The game mechanics is designed and working just right in my opinion. They do stack but I don't know if you get dimensioning returns maybe some on can tell you. I do have a fleet member that runs four of them in the Galaxy X and she managed to get the turn rate up to 19 degrees a second.

I too, disagree. The bonus is not confusing. Its a flat % increase based off the base turnrate of the vessel in use.
If you have a low turnrate it gives a lower bonus, high turnrate equals a higher bonus.

I do not think it should become a equalizer for bringing cruisers closer to escort turnrates.

OP has a point, RCS consoles suck.

Escorts have no need to use them, and the bonus they give to cruisers is so small that there is no point in using them over say, neutronium armor, making them pointless.

But by all means, please tell me that buffing rcs consoles would unbalance the game and make cruisers too powerful.

God forbid we have cruisers that can actually turn.

You arent sure if they stack without diminishing returns or not, but you sure that they shouldnt be changed at all. Heres the scoop, they stack, and there is no diminishing return. Even with 4 of them though, your boat still wont be able to turn 1/2 as fast as an escort.

I think what he wants is for it to give an equal bonus to everyone. A percentage bonus can vary with what ship class or type youíre in.

If it gave a flat bonus, say +1 to turn rate, it would be more even across the board. As it is currently a percentage bonus, tactical ships gain a much large bonus from it than do cruisers. However, if both received only +1 bonus to turn rate, it would be exactly the same bonus.

Now, with that said, Iím also against the idea because I never want to see the field emitter that give +18% shields ever go to a flat HP bonus. So Iím actually not against percentage based bonuses.

But it is a an equal bonus to everyone, a flat +35% of your vessels base turnrate.

I use rcs on my bops precisely because maneuverability is a strength for my ships.

The easier I get guns on target, then turn around and get out, the better.

Should armor make bops as tough as cruisers? Then why should cruisers turn way better with the rcs?
