So I'm leveling a new character, and this one is going to be my crafter so I finally am spending time at Memory Alpha. I don't know how I missed it before, but I stumbled on the Ferengi brothers that work there. I ended up doing all 3 quests at once, trying to keep them all straight, who is backstabbing who, where are they each standing (I did the whole thing only looking at the map once, so I spent about 5 minutes running in circles at one point). It was a blast!

Kudo's to whoever in Cryptic came up with that scenario, it actually felt like an episode of DS9 with Quark and Rom, (which are pretty much the only DS9 episodes I bother to watch).

I'd like some new missions with these guys to see what kind of trouble they have gotten into lately.

Yes it was a cool bit of character development and you got to do something relatively diplomatic to satisfy everyone. I enjoyed it, and hope that the guys at Cryptic get around to scaling the Diplomacy XP for it to a proper level.

Kestral should be given carte blanche to get these added to the game en masse - instead of writing tooltips.

I think these sorts of missions would be far better as patrol missions instead of the "Pew pew pew X 6" that's there now. There's two patrols that aren't shooting, I think.

I want to do the "strange new worlds" missions. That's Star Trek, baby. But there's really no reason to do them now outside of ranking or testing out your Escort build's DPS.

I can't remember which world it is, but instead of a standard 'kill x' or 'scan x' mission, one of the static system patrol missions involves solving a mine workers dispute. No fighting at all.

It was really cool... doubly so because I didn't expect it.

Only down side is that you can't actually botch it up, but otherwise nicely done.

I loved, that set of missions, first time i did it, i swear, i had to take notes, but man it was FUN, running all over the map, figuring them out, that, was something I really enjoyed. The mission Kimmera is talking about is good too, also there is a mission somewhere in romulan space that you do a lot of talking and i don't think any shooting, its for a holonovel or something, it was a fun change of pace thats for sure.

I loved those missions. quick and fun- They were good to help you get the first rank of Diplo. Though that was before the DOFF system.

They are pretty useless now.

Though there are a few more. One called "Ancestral Sin" on Vulcan.
There's one in the Bajor System re:someone being accused of being a True Way sympathiser.
There's 2 more that start on MA. The 'get O'brien that Jumja stick' and Quarantine where you have to go to K7.
And there is also a Trade Conference one in SB39/ Sierra. It was the first mission to introduce the Deferi.

though 80DXP now is hardly worth it now. trhough moat of the stories are pretty cool.
