Why not make this Vault event simular to the stf missions? You can join any time you like and have to wait one (or maybe two?) hours after completion. The queue problem would be solved at once.

There could be certain hours when you get the double amount of reman datalogs for example.

# 172 Finally got a try

Today was the first day back to my main computer and able to log into STO; my timing worked out so that I only had to wait about 30 minutes for the next scheduled event. I queued in as soon as it was available, and waited about 30 minutes for my name to finally come up for entering the event. My team was automatically formed and then... the leader was not able to get the mission to start. I tried another group and another group, but each was filled, and then I was able to get into and group and then... the leader was not able to get the mission to start. I was about to give up after 45 minutes of being screwed over by the queue and then at the 57th minute (+/- 2 minutes) I was finally attached to a group that was able to get into the mission.

The group must have had some experienced folk because I was sure trying to figure out what was going on in the mission. We made it to the end and finished off the bad guys withn time (I believe) and got the lauded prize... a Data module (oh wow???) The only other items to drop were a half dozen lock boxes (all ending up in my inventory (more wasted space) and one common panel. For an hour wait (due to queue fiasco) and the time in the mission, I think I had fun; however, the wait and the lousy rewards will not put this mission high on my repeat list.

Agreed, but common sense has not been the key point of decisions lately. (If only a reason was presented for this method, then most complaints would not be so vocal.)

Well, got 4 (out of the *calculates* 66) datalogs for the full reman set... btw, that deflector dish art is NICE! (the icon, haven't actually mounted the dish yet due to my recently bought Aegis set)

Edit: That reminds me, I LOVE THE AEGIS GRAPHICS

Its too bad that there is no graphically visual change when adding the reman deflector dish. Everything else is a cool green but the dish which remains blue.

So let me see if I have this right...

You took existing content and changed it around a bit so you could call it a new event.

Then you added reward drops that you need to acquire by running the event over and over again so that you can use them in another portion of the game (namely the duty officer missions), where you may, at some point, get a mission to use them to then create a much wanted item.

You then made it so it only happens at certain times of the day, thereby gating the availability of these items even further.

And we've been so starved for content that no one has actually seen what you've done.

Well played, Cryptic. You're making Star Trek Online more of an eastern mmo with every update.

Nexon is buying EA... maybe they will buy... oh wait. Cryptic is already owned by PWE... the mmo developer known for some of the most ridiculous grinds ever conceived. I mean, literally years to hit max level and get decent gear... unless you drop thousands of dollars into the game.

yeah this is kinda irritating. I wanted for my friend and I do this and spam it so we can get the needed data logs only to find we cant because We cant find when it happens. WHEN does this event actualy happen? Cryptic this is a huge mistake on the lack of game content problems. I only came back to the game when it went Free to Play but to find you have ignored the same problems, content included since I left the game.

Jeasus does Cryptic even bother to read this? i see in the event people in tactical escorts not shuttles! Not only that it seems IMPOSSIBLE to join the damn event when it does happen! Cryptic get off your lazy *** and fix the stuff we point out to you! why do you even bother to have a feed back section?!
