# 1 How much power can you get?
05-19-2012, 12:33 PM
I'm talking about power to your various settings. For example, Warp Theorist grants +10 to all settings. In this case, we're after things that are always on, not temp boosts like Emergency Power to X.

The Warp Theorist trait has +10 to all.
Ships have various bonuses-Cruisers have +5 to all.
Warp Core Potential is +9 to all.
Warp Core Efficiency is up to +9 depending on what the baseline power level is.
X system Efficiency is +9 to a specific system.

Any more?

How high can we push things?

You can get the Effiecent Trait on Rare bridge offices and that gives a +5 to all systems, the more you have the better.

From what I remember Efficient Borg, Saurians for FED and Lethians for KDF

Retro Borg set is +5 to each subsystem I believe

The warp theorist trait is a +10 to Warp Core Potential. This works out to +.5 power.
Warp core potential at 9 is about +4.95 actual power.
The System Performance skills are up to +9.9, though you'll pay dearly to get them all above +8.4 (at +84 to the skill, which is level 6).

Don't confuse the skill ranks with the actual power level boost.

I also believe the Aegis Deflector (not the shield) gives +5 to shield power, too.

Very High.

Also: I know you stated "Emergency Power to systems" not being always-on, but it can be if you have two engineering BOFF power slots. You can stack two instances of it constantly - example, 2xEPTS and 2xEPTW. TO give you an example of numbers, you can push EPTW1/EPTS1 up to the mid 20s with the right skills. And EPTS3 sits at around the 40 mark.

Then you have other consoles such as Plasmonic Leech that effectively grant an "always on" power bonus during combat (region of 16-18 power to all systems).

It's possible to have, say, Weapons, Shields and AUX all at 125 constantly with the right build.
Most people just aim for two systems maxxed out at a time though.

Actually that is not quite true.

Efficient never gave a flat +5 bonus. It's a complicated set of math that basically sums up to this:

Auxiliary: SystemPowerBonus = (67/300) x (75 - SystemPowerLevel)
at 25 power: +11.2 power
at 50 power: +5.6 power
at 75 power: +0 power
Weapon: SystemPowerBonus = (55/300) x (75 - SystemPowerLevel)
at 25 power: +9.2 power
at 50 power: +4.6 power
at 75 power: +0 power
Shield: SystemPowerBonus = (15/300) x (75 - SystemPowerLevel)
at 25 power: +2.5 power
at 50 power: +1.3 power
at 75 power: +0 power
Engine: SystemPowerBonus = (15/300) x (75 - SystemPowerLevel)
at 25 power: +2.5 power
at 50 power: +1.3 power
at 75 power: +0 power
Thus, the most economical use of skill points in efficient systems is where you typically have low power settings as there is no effect once you're at a power setting of 75 or greater.

It may be complicated math, but the detailed description on STOWiki just under your quoted article, does say "+5" to all 4 sub systems.

You need to read the math.

If your power level is 75 or more, you gain exactly +0

This is done exactly with the purpose of not having a captain and 5 officers all with +5. (wich would produce a flat +25 to all systems).

+5 Efficiency, not +5 Power.
