I merely ask for character slots so I can get the full 1-51 experience in play time. Using a character slot for a partial faction character is a waste in my opinion. using a slot for lvl 25 to 51 is basically getting a 6" sub for the price of a foot long.
I must not be following you. If you feel slighted, delete your character and use the slot as a Fed. Or are you asking they give you a fed of equal level to your existing KDF on that slot so you don't have to start over?
One question; what does Cryptic do with all the KDF ships, items, species, etc that are in the C-Store, if this is done?
I can only imagine the forum flame war that would start if this was even hinted at.
When what is done? I think you misunderstand. I do not believe it is the intention to do away with the KDF as a whole. They just at the present not going to make it a full faction like it deserves.
My point is that it is a rip off to have to pay full price for extra character slots or even use a current slot for half a faction of leveling. If they did something like you unlock a special slot per fed character you level past a certain point to be used for a KDF or other partial faction character, I would be happy.

Are they somehow locking your slots so you can't delete your characters and start over? Are there Character Cops ready to take you off to Character Jail if you hit the delete button on a slot on your account? Because, otherwise, you're perfectly free to delete your KDF characters at any time and start fresh Fed ones in those newly freed up slots..
If there isn't going to be anymore KDF work done... Then why don't you pick a cut off day for KDF creation and reimburse us a character slot for each KDF character we have. I for one do not want to delete my KDF characters and the time I spent on them. But if they are just going to sit with no new development going into the faction as was promised...you should at least give me back my character slots so I can play as another fed race.
No more KDF work done? last I read, KDF were gettiong Fleet Starbases and the Fleet Expansion system, just like the Feds are getting in Season 6; along with new KDF facton ships. Just because they put backfilling Levels 1 - 22 on hold; it appears they are keeping endgame content parity between the factions for the most part. - Just saying.
