Rollplay wise its fun ..

Yeah t3 is pushing it neighbor. While ok with friends and others to take up the slack, the ship itself, regardless how it is decked out, in a STF elite is lacking any helpful details amount of abilities to truly make a difference. You basically become a 1 trick pony.

if your friends and cool with this, hey, wear it out

Myself I find you can do T4 level ships and not really have a drop off in effectiveness. On the klingon side, I have the wife's klink set to use a scourge destroyer which actually has better stats then her T5 BOP and I have setup with the identical loadout in weapons. No difference between it and the BOP in an stf or in DPS. hair diff in shields, but not enough to sweat.

So yeah its doable, but not something I recommend any to do in any PUG's. Most folks, while they will not say much, still will not appreciate it.

To me a T4, i am ok with, you bring a T3 into the elite STF i am in, i am going to let you know that i consider it a touch rude to bring that into an elite STF. There are 4 others in there with you that are counting on you to do your best, and a T3 isnt your best.

Thank you for your opinion .. it does seem so far this subject is splitting opinion rather strongly

I've run my Akira class escort through a few Normal STFs and been able to keep up just fine, but I avoid Elite's in it just because I know some people would be pretty ****ed.

I know it's been said a million times, but it is a shame that ships don't scale. I'd pay C-Points to upgrade my old ships if I had the opportunity to do so.

Every ship model should have a T5 version available for purchase in the C-Store. The differences are just cosmetic at that point.
