I've been begging the community to get more factual information in the face of forum visitors, less of this rubbish about how Cryptic do nothing.

Nice to see a positive post that goes against the trolls and delivers a nice reminder of where the game has come from.

Excuse me if it's already been covered. But isn't there a new system to do with training officers for ongoing missions? Where they can be killed. I can't remember the name of it as I've only played the game once since I've come back. And I've been absent for a long while!

From what I can gather from what you've written, you may be referring to the Duty Officer system. You don't train the officers per se, they're more like trading cards that you collect and send off on missions through the Duty Officer menu. Only the Common (White colored) Duty Officers can be killed off.

Given that this thread hasn't been posted in since August, and then May before that, I think it should be unstickied. It contains WAY outdated info, and since it was created by our good friend "Archived Post" it can't be edited.

I just came back after putting in a ton of time at launch and ending up disappointed. Came back out of curiousity to see what changed, to find out all of my captains are gone. Do they just wipe everything after a certain period of inactivity? :[

I think they are merely put on inactive... Come back in a few hours and they should be there... If not... Poke PWE (Ticket)

I hadn't played since right around Season 6 launching and was hoping to learn what's changed for Season 7 (such as, for example, my assimilated consoles no longer pairing with an engine or deflector for the Borg hull healing. Bummer.).
