Perfect World is afraid of any dev slippups so they're pretty much shackled up tight. Ever since they took over the devs haven't been in touch with the community nearly as much as they used to be. It's losing this game players and fans. As a star trek fan I wish they'd let up and let Cryptic do its thing. All Cryptic needed to fix this games issues was a boost of cash to increase the workforce and a little time. The F2P switch, I have to say, has been a good thing but, it doesn't help the fun and enjoyment we used to get from the game. That came from the community of devs that talked to us and gave us live feedback and answered to our concerns and gave replies on the forum nearly every day. This game used to be alive with hope. We, the players, used to feel important. We've been reduced to bags of money by the mentality that perfect world has instituted. The game has lost its sense of... Trekness. It's starting to feel like Star Trek Online is being ***** by the petty capitalism of the business.
I don't see this game getting better unless PW unlocks the doors to Cryptic Studios once again to let us see and participate in the evolution of an IP we truly love.
~All of just is just my opinion. I needed a good rant.

I appreciate the need to have a rant as much as the next person, mate. But can you back this up? I know there is a lot of speculation as to what 'it' is that's going to be announced this week, but I don't know is sensationalizing the matter is going to help.

No one does. This is degenerating into a week of Horrid, Horrid speculation and unanswered questions, the more time goes by, the more horrible it all becomes. Sure we're mostly hopeful about the matters, but one can't help but prepare for the doom scenarios.

That's a bit of a hyperbole, I haven't seen that much "Horrid" speculation...
L-99's thread is about the only one that has lasted and it's got a myriad of different posts, both positive and negative...
It might not be much fun waiting for whatever is coming, but it certainly has given us something new to focus on besides the Lock-boxes.
I'm getting frustrated with coming on the forum to ask for some help on something only to see endless threads about how the developers do nothing. Total bull.
Only takes 10 minutes Google searching.
Thanks.
I apologize to those who regularly check this thread.
I graduate with my Bachelor's in the next two weeks and I am busy looking for work.
I've let this thread slide a little but promise to make some exhaustive posts soon with starbase information and screenshots (I've seen a few so far, such as at massively.com).

Congrats on your Bachelor's, DK! I posted some images that were not on Massively.com or the Dev Blog here in case you'd like to add those too:
