Since it was a reward for converting various currencies to dilithium, chances are not good.

I would really love to get my hands on one of these.

Again it's probably not going to happen. It was a one time occurrence with the change over from the old system of many currencies to the newer system of um many currencies.

Also I believe from reading about it many months ago, less than the top 1% of the players and their avatars got them. Only the folks who wound up losing worth with the change over got it as I understand it.

I wonder if they're even tradeable come to think about it.

They are tradeable since i have like 9 spread over 2 toons. They can be traded the same way as you trade other comissioned bridge officers. (Unequip, drag -> trade window) done. It costed me a fortune for very little increase, probably not even noticable.

When the veteran bridge officers were give there were rumors that they would be maybe available later in other ways (Lockbox? ).

Remember when Cryptic decided to turn all emblems, merits, medals and marks into Dilithium...?

In that process they decided that those who had worked their b*tts off to have a reasonable supply should be punished for playing the game during the year of hell, and choose, in their infinite lack of wisdom, to ignore a great deal of dilithium those people SHOULD have recived... In my case 516K Dilithium if memory serves, because they were afraid that we would "break the economy".

In an extremely redicilous attempt at hiding it, they choose to grant those 0.78% a veteran BO, that came with high end traits and Mk XII very rare (and rare) gear, and 5 free gift requisitions for the winter scam.
