1k-2k bonus HP and +1 to turnrate doesnt see that big..... dont see why people are having a tantrum about it.

Yes, where is the buff to the Galaxy-R?

I could also use something for my B'rel Retrofit... no more penalty to the number of Boff slots, perhaps? Some kind of Aux bonus?

If they are giving out freebies to pay-to-play ships, where's mine for the B'rel?

You have not tasted true life until you have taken a B'rel Retrofit into Elite STFs.

OK...... I can't see a reason for this the ships work fine if set up right and yes they are closer to cruisers than escorts, I always think of them as light cruisers .

I have taken these "escorts" into Elite STF's and not died once and have seen many good captain fly them damm well and some Captain less so.

If you are going to make this change at the very least let the KDF have the same changes to keep some kind of balance.

Hm, this might have to do with the fact that we get, for example, new energy weapons doffs soon.

Or maybe it is just that the various escort ships should be dtsinct from each other. Any case, it shouldn't bother anyone, I mean, the changes are not that significant.

Also since every player has access to both factions and its not really a Fed or KDF player type of issue since you can play either side whenever you feel like it. I believe these changes and attitudes when making decisions shouldn't be biased towards a specific faction tbh but as we have seen with the armitage and this buff talk that there are plenty of problems to be fixed with the KDF. Nonetheless there are changes with the federation and nothing being done for the KDF that actually needs the attention more.

I'd be honest though the way the game is going though even if there were more ships or whatever or revamps that are needed I probally still wouldn't get interested in the game again because of the fact that it doesn't change how the game feels just by hopping into a new 20-50 dollar ship (Oh yeah that also means if you put a ship that costs more into the game its not going to change my feelings towards whats going on either).

The new Heavy Escort Carrier is already extremely survivable, that Lt. Comm engi slot with an EPTS:3 and a few Damage Control Doffs is simply unbelievably tough. That said 2k is not very significant, most deaths in STFs come from the invisible torps of doom that one shot just about everything, so that little extra won't help. And in PvP maybe the +1 turning will have an impact, the extra 2k health.... not so much (its the age of death by a thousand tractor beams after all!)

I think the upgrades are an appeasement made to people mistakenly thinking that just because its an expensive ship/s it should somehow be much, much better than anything else. Cryptic is not blameless in this, the Armitage should've cost 1600 CPs, not 2000. At least it didn't have 3 variants.

Then it's their own fault. Escorts are already extremely survivable/tanky (a Fleet Escort pretty much has the zombie capacity of a lower-end cruiser) and the game has not been crying out for higher escort survivability whatsoever.
