you haven't tried Elite?

but seriously, there's a difference between 'hard but beatable' and 'too hard'. this is what the devs are trying to balance. you have your opinion, but it's only one of many. many think the Borg's invisible Crits are just plain annoying as an example.

if you want a challenge, ask for a more-than-Elite mode, that's purposefully made to be insane

And for those of you upset over the Zen exchange rate, reread this part:

"This is PART of the conversion to Zen". This says the conversion isn't done yet. The value may be diminished right now, but the conversion isn't done. No need to get upset right now.

I have to agree. I ran 7 STF's last night at elite AND normal. Unless the gateway is designed to do 40k+ damage in one hit, there is a problem. When im getting blown up with full shields, and nothing is around me, there is a problem

Yes I only play elites, normals are a waste of time. If I can easily get thru every elite space stf in an escort without dying something is wrong, especially since it makes it to where there's no point in flying anything but an escort in stfs.

Thank you for the doors on the foundry, this will be very useful, especially with the new doorless maps. Will we be getting the Utopia Planitia doors, Facility 4028 doors or Klingon doors that open and close? This reminds me of a problem, however, on the tribble foundry it's currently impossible to move items to a specific coordinate on the map. It is restricting movements to certain points. This wasn't too much of a burden until i tried to line up a door in the doorway on the odyssey bridge. It won't allow me to line it up in the proper X or Y position.

some of my fleet arent amuses with the fact that fleet ground/space weapons cost both fleet credits and DI LITHIUM...the reason is some people are NOT and I repeat NOT a major Dilithium grinder...so there for would not be able to purchase any of the items

would much rather it be Fleet Credits and Energy Credits then Fleet Credits and Dilithium

Oh, there's plenty to get up in arms about. To demonstrate the math:

Currently, the exchange hovers around 350 Dilithium = 1 CP.
At 80 CP = $1 US, 28,000 Dilithium @ 350 = 80 CP = $1 US.
At 100 Zen = $1 US, for 28,000 Dilithium to equal 100 Zen, the purchase rate has to be 280 Dil = 1 Zen. Not 350. Obviously, it'll look like the market bottomed out when this conversion kicks in, but it'll take more zen to buy the items, so you still spend the same dilithium (consider, your "average" 1600 CP Tier 5 ship will cost 2000 Zen) either way.

Now look at the "maximum" values. Currently, 500 Dil = 1 CP. At this rate, it'll take 40,000 Dil to get $1 US (500 max * 80 CP = $1). Post patch, it could take 75,000 Dil to get $1 US in Zen (750 max * 100 Zen = $1).

To further illustrate (or another way to do so) - Assuming the Dilith store does not get revalued, a 120,000 Dilithium RA ship today can be as cheap as $3 (120k / 500 = 240 C points, 240 / 80 = $3...). However, at the Zen rates, this ship becomes $1.60 - 120,000 / 750 = 160 Zen, 160 / 100 = $1.6)

Last I checked, if it costs me $3 today, but $1.60 tomorrow, that's a massive devaluation. That could have me worried, if i'm expecting to make a massive purchase before the conversion, or, if I rely on the inverse to do my in-game shopping - 7.5 days per $1 US, * 20 = 150 days at max dilithium mining to buy 1 $20 ship...

Still at it. CBS "restrictions" fell by wayside with freebie Breen. Time to re-examine ENT and ToS at tier 5, repurpose the Connie into Sci and rebuild an Akira escort into the "NX". 6 "eras", spread evenly over all the classes...

and you just missed my point...

if this was all that was gonna be done with the conversion, your math would be rightful cause for worry... but as it is now, there's still more to come

i suggest you wait a little more. then do the new math, and THEN see if it's cause for worry... doing so now is just a waste of time and effort

woah

Dilithium Exchange NERF!

Zen Points are worth 20% LESS than C-Points.
( 100 ZEN = 80 CP )

a 1:1 conversion of the exchange rate would be 40 - 400 from dilithium to Zen

NOT 50 - 750 !!!

we already have to get 20% more *points* for our dilithium in this player driven economy as it is (which probably means stuff will be harder to get because the C-Point sellers have a 20% higher range to play with).

to make the math example:

old range with c-point
8000 dil @500 = 16 C-Points
8000 dil @50 = 160 C-Points

new range with zen
8000 dil @750 = 10,6 Zen = 8 C-Points
8000 dil @50 = 160 Zen or 128 C-Points

thats what our playtime is worth now ???

"cosmetic change"... yeah sure...
