# 1 STFs are worthless

Changing the difficulty of STFs, in my opinion they made some big mistakes.

1 - They last too long comparing with the drop. Cure space and Kithomer are particulary long. You can play one even for 45 minutes ore more and get useless drops. Being so, they don't worth the time spent playing them.

2 - Enemy damage. Quite often a single shot deals you 45.000 damage even if you have your shields up. I palyed some STF where i respawned just to get another blow of 40-50.000 damege and explode again.

Other nuisances are tolerable, but the two I described make me loose the wish to join a STF.

1: Very much dependant on the group you are with - it can, admittedly, last that long if you are unlucky enough to find yourself in a PuG full of rainbow boats. By the same token, if you find yourself with a decent PuG, comprised of players who know what they're doing, they don't last anywhere near that long.

2: Forced to agree with this one - it doesn't happen too frequently, but have had STF's where I've been in my Intrepid retro and my shields inexplicably vanished after barely one shot (and I use MkXII MACO and three-piece borg). I don't enjoy having to use the Intrepid's Ablative Armor generator just to avoid being killed by uber-shots (and even then I have, on occasion, been killed during the brief period between the shields dropping and the armor activation).

Don't forget, the cubes occasionally seem use the neutralizer, along with the tachyon beam.

And I find it's usually the large destructible torpedoes that nail me, usually after I've been pinned in a tractor beam (I can only have so many tractor breakfrees). On occasion, though, some big shot (probably a plasma torp spread from a gate) catches me offguard and one-shots me. Quite annoying in the Elite STFs, what with the delay in respawn tied to frequency of dying.

You're bad. I could clear Khitomer 2x by myself in 45 minutes.

You only get hit for 40k damage when your shields are up when you completely ignore the big slow floating ball of plasma that is ponderously begging for you to shoot it.

Elite STFs are worthless for getting prototype tech, but they are great for grinding dilithium.

They chop up the missions to help the casuals and some still think they're too long. Take a DPS ship like an escort and you will fly through them fast.

Don't wait for morons to do damage. Do it yourself.

45 minutes for cure? I guess you lost optional. Really that is way too long. KAGE, and ISE can be over in well less then 10 minutes each.

Considering how few endgame there is in this game, how f`ckin easy it is compared to any other game out there, everyone should be considered a "casual" without any exception.

You forget the borg invisi-torps, that is, the non-existant torps that cant be targeted or shot but still do 50-100k through shields. My oddy at 9 points structural integrity, 3 neutroniums, and the doff bonus for sif up got one shotted through FULL shields and FULL hull. Granted, if you have 4 competant players, stf's are a faceroll, but the invisa-crits ought to be replaced by some other combo of abilities/weapons to pick up the slack as devs consider the invisa-torps to be a 'challenge' and a viable weapon to give the borg. Otherwise, totally agree.
