Granted, if you have 4 competant players, stf's are a faceroll, but the invisa-crits ought to be replaced by some other combo of abilities/weapons to pick up the slack as devs consider the invisa-torps to be a 'challenge' and a viable weapon to give the borg. Otherwise, totally agree.
That happens once in a blue moon. If you run any type of AOE you'll shoot them down most of the time without even noticing it.

I hope that no devs are reading this... I really dont want them made any easier!

I can not recall the last optional i failed with a team... (granted I do not go queue any longer).

To the OP... I am certainly not trying to be insulting, I would be happy to run through them with you and show you the tactics (just PM me in game)... You might also consider posting your ship build/skill tree spending... I know there are many on these forums who would offer suggestions and tips.

worst i saw was a T1 Connie ship in the SFT it he was useless and we did not make it in less then 15 min

space are ok but ground maybe still to difficult

Actually, they ar regular plasma torps, so they can't be shot down. Granted, they don't happen super often, but I would rather fight a cube that balamces shields and uses a regular stream of abilitoes (heals/debuffs/offensive skills) then the 'zerg' cubes we all know and hate (for various reasons). Any thoughts/comments/ideas?

What exactly is the point of STF's at this point if you don't PvP? I mean, really, once you have the Mk XII stuff and have completed all the STF collecting... well, really, even that's kind of pointless.

There's no end game content, so what are you gearing up for by running them?

I don't think I've ever had a space run longer than a ground STF, and the ground ones top out around 15-20 if you're slow, right? In any case, wow, 45 minutes, that's unfortunate.

I do think it would be nice to know what it was like to play the old style STFs, though. I didn't come into the game when they were still around, but at the very least they must've taken a bit more effort to organize.

IMHO, once you have both of the Mk XII sets you can get there is no point. The STFs are the end game content. I don't PvP and I can't see a reason you would need the Mk XII gear. I could be wrong, but I don't think there's a big enough difference between the Mk XI and the Mk XII.
Once you've gotten the Mk XI stuff, you're just grinding for accolades and costume options.

Null point for now anyway, at least so far as the Borg-related STF's are concerned.

I strongly suspect that once season six commences the massive & obsessional 'grind to get the biggest, badest, Starbase' will have begun and few people will want to do very much else.

I do have an escort with a quite good dps.

Yes, maybe I found a lot of poor team.

I know well how to do STF, 10% rules and so on.

Normally it takes 10-20 minutes, if you have a good team, I know. But Infected it's quite ok, the others are too long, in my opinion. Ok, maybe they aren't too long. I mean they are too long comparing with drop. If you play, let's say, 30 minutes for just a couple of borg encoded datas, I find it very annoying.
