"Login failed for unknown reason" error
Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Been getting this a lot, especially in the B'Tran cluster, but it occassionally happens when I try to do officer dailies or, hell, any mission besides an STF. And on top of this, I've also been getting random bouts of "Account Server Connection could not be started" and both of these, of course, boot me right back to the login screen. So imagine trying to play a mission, it starts loading, then suddenly DYNAMIC PATCH FAILURE, get booted to login screen, and then can't log back in because the Account Server Connection doesn't want to start? Yeah. That's been my day so far.
Has anyone else been noticing this? I know it can't be a coincidence that these started happening right after the last actual patch.
Try loading the patch before you start playing. After you start the launcher, go into the options menu at the top and check the disable on-demand patching. You may have to relaunch the launcher but that's supposed to download everything right at the beginning instead of as you move around the game.
If that doesn;t work, try the Force verify option on the same menu.

Please let us know what happens.
That's all well and good, but I just got the "Account Server Connection Cannot Start" crap again, so I'm going to have to wait another hour before I can even try logging in.
The problem is getting the launcher to come up at all to even check those options, I cant even get the launcher. Btw Tech support told me the devs are now aware of this and to expect a resolution soon.
Since the last patch 7/5/2012 whenever I went to do a diplomatic corp or exploration tour mission I end up getting a dynamic patch failure. I have tried disabling patch on demand but that did not resolve the issue. As I said this has only started since the last patch release. I was wondering has anyone else had this same issue.

Thanks in advance
But if you disable dynamic patching, close the launcher, relaunch the launcher, and get all the patches - what is the game trying to dynamically patch while you are map transitioning?
You may need to force verify all of your files. Very strange issue you have.

Have found out it is a common know bug that dates back almost two years. It mainly occurs when people do the VA B'Tran system. The S6 update fixed the issue but as we all know itroduced other bugs but hey ho lifes not perfect or should I say it's not a Perfect World

Sadly all S6 seemms to have done is restart this problem for me. it HAD stopped after I disabled the On-Demand Patching and just downloaded everything STO had to offer so that it didn't need to patch-on-the-go, but now it's doing it again, which is weird since it's not trying to patch anything. It just.. hangs up, then disconnects me.
Having this same issue if the devs care...kinda looks like everyone's stopped talking about it and just accepted the crappy patching system that only works 50% of the time. I've had issues loading "Anomaly" systems in nearly every 'cluster' area including Delta Volanis, Hromi, Arucanis, and others. This is not limited to B'Tran. What's really annoying is that when I'm trying to complete Diplomatic Missions and this whole "Dynamic Patch Failure" crap happens, it basically removes the mission from my "in Progress" queue and resets the mission start timer in my "Available" queue, so I lose the opportunity to complete the mission until the timer runs down, and then I run the risk of not being able to complete it the next time. Guess I'll just have to struggle my way through. This last time it happened, it automatically completed the mission even though I didn't replicate or deliver any supplies, so I don't know what the crap's going on. Just that this issue is incredibly annoying, especially when you add the Account Server Connection issue and I have to close and restart the launcher about five times just to be able to get back to the character screen in the first place. The game is free, so I suppose the devs don't really have a responsibility to fix this or even look into it, but I'm not the kind of person that gives up hope.
Note* This Dynamic Patch Failure issue only seems to affect me in the "Anomalous" cluster zones, though I have experienced the same issue in EVERY "Anomalous" star cluster area I've been to.
