I am unable to test the Tetryon Proc changes since I can't copy my character that has tetryon Weapons over to tribble since the Copy List only goes so far and doen't cover ALL of my characters.

You're calling 'less proc' on carrier pets a nerf? Sounds weak to me, and I play a Carrier.

Some of them are meant to be a distraction and/or fire support, which is hard when they can take shields offline for 5 seconds... or weapons or anything else through full shields.

If anything, it's more realistic. They still do the same damage and all that, they just proc less, which = not that big a deal.

This is my opinion on the matter.

will there ever be a new visual for the plasma fire proc?

i always think my ship is suddenly stinking instead of burning...

you know, make it a bit more subtle, like when my ship is <25% hull and there is actual fire in some spots, but not just a huge fireball.

99% of the reason i care to put these plasma fires out instantly is because of the nasty visual annoyance factor (not because of the damage)

And if they had them right now, they'd have been out with this update.

It's taking longer than we expected. But we can't rush them

Other effects that cause subsystem offline, such as Boarding Parties, can still take effect during this immunity.

*Updated small craft and pets:

NPC small crafts and Carrier Pets, not Frigate Pets, will now proc less often with their energy weapons.

*Updated Ground and Space Energy Weapon Procs.

Most were improved in effectiveness.
Ground and Space Plasma DoT procs and Tetryon Shield Damage procs were significantly increased.
Plasma DoT procs can now be improved with skill.
Space Polaron now Debuffs subsystem power for 5 seconds.
Ground Polaron proc duration was doubled.
these changes are GREAT!!! i love them!. im so glad procs are finally receiving attention. the improved npcs that were mentioned are great too, npcs being more interesting means 90% of the game being more interesting, people will want to buy ships and lockbox gamble if the game is more fun.

the changes to phasers are great, a team of phaser users wont be able to steam role an enemy team with procs upon procs anymore, pets procing less is also an extreamly positive change as well.

plasma changes- the "significantly increased" dot from energy weapons is sorrly needed on them, the poc they had was hardly noticeable. increasing thanks to energy weapon training and stuff is good, but why not also particle generators? that skill buffs EWP for example, and the flow capacitor skill buffs tetryon and polaron, that would sort of be consistent.

this great change, unfortunately, will not incentive's more players to use plasma energy weapons though, at least not those that pvp. not until the 4 most popular shields in the game lose their 20% defense against them. borg, and unidine, weapons becoming a different energy type that those shields could defend against is needed, until then plasma will never be viable.

tetryon- ever since flow capacitors started buffing its pathetic proc 3 fold, i have been a fan of tetryon. the 'dps' you do get from the proc is still extreamly low, but if its increasing thats great.

polaron- im slowly becoming a fan of these, because i have seen what this proc can do to you under a rapid fire cannon alpha strike. multiple procs during one of these can leave you at a fraction of your power when you need it most, sure it regenerates fairly quickly but in the right circumstance it can be killer. having it hold your power level lower for a whole 5 seconds could prove to be extreamly deadly. is the diration of the proc debuff effected by power insulators? watch for lolaron threads in the next few weeks discussing the results of this change borticus!

After the patch, FAW still EXTREMELY Lowers Plasma DoT damage. Currently on my Sci ship my Plasma DoT Damage is 85.2 86.2 if [dmg] varient. But when I activate Faw. It drops to 20.
