Cure Ground Elite. 53 mins. Had to run back to eliminate a missed drone, and couldn't get back in time to get the loot bag. Optional completed. Also, just had an interesting one in Infected Ground Elite where someone wearing full Mk 12 MACO set(visuals enabled) somehow didn't understand what to do in the final room. How!?

Full Mark XII set means luck not skill.

Apparently that's the case. Thing is, I've done so many and still don't have it. Maybe I just have bad luck but it makes me think the drop rate is so abysmal that anyone wearing it must at least know the very basics of how to make it through even if they don't have the skill. I don't see myself as the most skilled, but I know the processes well enough. Only thing I can do is push on and hope I get lucky.

There's a guy on another thread who got lucky, and managed both mk 12 ground sets. And b/c he has them, he now doesn't want them to be available for 80 chips each because 'that would be too easy'. Seriously, some people go through tone of effort and get nothing. Believe me, my luck is garbage.

There I was......

Cure space normal.

Everything was going fine...

Then out of the blue two oddys with technicolor rainbow beams start duking it out over who's shooting what ships at the Kang. And they didn't stop fighting into the instance was over.

'that's my target you can't shoot it'

'no it's mine, go away'

'you're not doing any damage'

'no you're not doing any damage.'

Anyhow the other three of us flying escorts with normal load outs finished the battle and completed the optional without much help from the other two.

It was just hilarious to see what they were saying.

This past week.... after running CGE hundreds of times in the past, getting the optional with ease... taking out Armek in seconds (sometimes with four of us, or even just hanging back and dancing whilst fellow fleet members solo him )....

Well, it's all gone wrong. The jumping Borg, ok, they can be dealt with... but here's a short list of new problems:

1) turrets unable to be blown up or taking several attempts even when the activation has completed
2) the turrets themselves are moving away from their respective places i.e. actually sliding away from their positions!
3) The problem with AoE (pulsewaves)
4) Another activation issue, relating to freeing the captives and grabbing the samples (having to press repeatedly to get the bloody thing to activate)
5) Armek.... what the hell has happened to him to make him so bloody annoying? Pulsewave / medic tank / snipers - whatever method - I've been on very experienced teams and we've been getting one-shotted straight out of the gate and in some cases, I've had people give up completely and leave

I came to love Cure Ground Elite, my favourite STF due to its setting, the content and the fun of fighting Armek.

This past week... every single attempt I've had has failed due to people leaving, frustration, being unable to continue (due to the turrets not activating)... I just.... I dunno....

I'm sure people are gonna tell me how they've done it fine etc. but I don't know what to say. I rarely post on here but this is starting to make me look a little foolish in front of other people, both in-fleet and in-game and I'm just throwing this out in the hope that I'm not alone in experiencing these problems.

I envy you. Don't be offended but I envy you. I really would like to run once stf with technicolor rainbow beams. only to see fireworks and taking screenshots.
I had bad stf with instant admiral, griefer, saboter, afker, nijas. But not yet with rainbow beam

That's rather surprising.

You've never noticed a ship firing rainbow technicolor beams at a probe just to come back 10 minutes later and that same ship is still shooting at the same probe?

You've never watched 4 ships protecting the Kang using technicolor rainbow beams who lose the optional then lose the Kang?

Before I do an STF I always think I've seen it all so nothing else can surprise me. But I'm always wrong. There's always another technicolor rainbow beam boat lurking just around the corner.

My gripe!!??

Ooh u wanna hear MINE !!???

Well - other than the people who hear you say:

"Ok everyone remember to stop at 10%"

and they think it means

"OK everyone stop at 10% so I ALONE CAN GET ALL TEH CREDIT FOR KILLING BEFORE YOU DO"

Other than that... is the people... THOSE PEOPLE !!

You know them...

I find the PERFECT parking spot in my escort... where I can AOE like mad and kill every PROBE before it even gets near me... and sit there 11km from the spawn...

Well THOSE PEOPLE who decide... "ooh hes shooting - let me go push-back the probes ! - EVEN THOUGH HE IS NOT HAVING ANY TROUBLE AT ALL !"

Now I have to actually move... and go chase probes that got blown out of my Aoe... ooh and now my single target crap is on CD for 7 more seconds... so I chase one probe looking stupid...

while the push back fool says "THE OTHER SIDE IS HAVING NO PROBLEMS"

OF COURSE NOT !!! BECAUSE YOU ARE ON MY SIDE NOW MAKING PROBLEMS !!!

lolz...

thats all... basically...

Not bad savadius, but I think when the other side blows the gate early, and nobody comes to help me at sphere spawn, that is much worse. I mean, come on people! You should know that the gate blowing up will make multiple spheres spawn, and I can't handle them. So, when the gate hits 5 percent, someone should be smart enough to come render a little assistance.
