My Main has been flying a Tactical Escort Retrofit for about as long as they've been available in-game (Season 1). And I've done very well there, especially with the following weapon setup:
Forward: 3x Phaser DHC (Recently replaced one with a set of Quad Phaser Cannons) and a Quantum Torpedo Launcher
Aft: 2x Phaser Turrets and a Quantum Torpedo Launcher
The Torpedo Launcher in the aft was for if I needed to take care of anything chasing me. Recently, though, I've been thinking about changing that Aft Torpedo Launcher out for something else. I don't know what I want to put in there, though, so I thought I'd pose the question to all of you.
So, what would the best choice be for that third Aft Weapon Slot? Keep my Quantum Torpedo Launcher? Replace it with a Quantum Mine Dispenser? Or replace it with a third Phaser Turret?

Chroniton Mines or Torpedoes would be better for getting rid of a tail than trying to dissuade them by firing into their Tac team buffed forward shields with Torpedoes.
And since Mines take so long to arm, the person your trying to slow could get past them.
A High Yield or Torp Spread Chroniton is almost a guarantee of the slow proc.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why. When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
I use 3 turrets out back. I use all my bof power for cannons specific power 2 CRF and CSV 1 and 3. the other power are 2 tt1 and 1 omega. I don't have my back to anything long enough to be really useful for me. I prefer to kill as fast as possible with my DHC.
But thats my play style, you have to ajust to whatever your play style is.
