From the get-go ill say this, im not an expert of pvp, im somewhat rubbish.

I was wondering does anyone have any strong feelings about Antimatter spread in pvp?

(in a way kindly explain if you think its fine the way it is, or if its too strong, or somehow not strong enough)

My personal belief is that its a pest ^^

At the very least a limitation should be put in...
That it only be equipable by CRUISERS!, as opposed to the Atrox, jem hadar ships etc.

(i would say limited to sci ships, but then it couldnt be used on the cruiser it comes with :| )

Or even limited to an Explorer ship only.

This isnt a thread on a crusade to nerf a console, more a question to your opinion about it.

It probably wouldn't be as offensive if it didn't apply a targeting debuff ("confuse") as well as the perception drop. IIRC you can't even use BOff powers (for some reason) meaning it's actually an AoE disable, not a confuse like SS.

Yeah, it'd be better if it got sucked into a black hole, but the way things stand I couldn't tell you how to fix it and keep it in the game as a useful ability. It does way too many things to be an AoE spell, though, so that might be a start.

I'd like to see an immunity from AMS for, say, 30 seconds after the effect is removed or wears off.

The length of the immunity is up for debate; there just should be one to mitigate the horrors of a whole team of five spamming it.

amazingly enough it used to be that way. the AMS (among other consoles) could only be used by specific classes of ships. then cryptic decided they werent making enough money and made them useable by all!

there currently is a 20second immunity.

Kill it with fire, and several other special consoles.
AMS is a pest, especially on tractor spamming escorts ...
Or used together with SS ...
