# 1 Reman Deflector/Engine
08-02-2012, 03:43 PM
Exactly how do I get the Reman Deflector and Engine? I know how to get the shield by doing the Coliseum mission, but I don't know how to get the other two pieces of the set.

The wiki says something about engineering and science contacts in the ship interior, and I have spoken to all the npc's i can find, but I don't see any DOff assignments for the set pieces.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it!

You have to grind the vault event for Reman Datalogs.

Thank you for your help. How often is the event, and where do I take the datalogs?

You goto your Tactical Officer (console in your ready room) in your ship interior. Do the special projects to build the base engine and deflector. You can get more data logs to to projects to improve the base Remean set equipment from your Engineer in Engineering. A LOT more datalogs.

you need 3 datalogs each for the engins and deflector and 10 more each to upgrade to MKII

Be sure to do the Vault mission during the Hourly Calender for the datalogs. Otherwise you're just getting dilithium

I tried the Vault Event for the first time today. I have a few problems with the mission:

1. It gives you 15 or 20 seconds at the beginning to read the Objectives. I saw no mission objectives, no text, no mission window, nothing on my mission page, just nothing.

2. I read the wiki and while it has an outline of what to do, it only says that you need to "help" Obisek open the doors. I didn't see any way to interact with the doors.

3. I followed my group and tried my best to keep enemies off of Obisek while he opened the doors, but he kept saying stuff like we can't keep fighting forever, and he needs help, etc. But, as I said above, I didn't see any way to interact with the doors. What was I supposed to do? We eventually ran out of time at the second door, and I felt like I let down my team, but I had no direction or guidance.

You will not be interacting with the doors, your job is to protect Obisek while he opens the doors to the next area. The following is a base overview from memory, it may not be completely correct but I am sure others can add anything I have missed.

Overall - In general you want 3 people to stay with Obisek at all times providing defense from fighters and turrets. If he takes damage someone will need to provide repairs, if he takes to much damage he will stop whatever action he is working on and cloak to affect repairs. When cloaked the only way to assist with repairs is to use the repair function that each team member is given at the start of the mission (this function can only be used ONCE PER TEAM MEMBER).

Room 1 - Obisek will head to the doors, you should have 3 people defend Obisek from fighters and turrets. The other 2 people will go to the junctions on the sides of the room when prompted by Obisek to allow him to continue opening the doors. Once both junctions are repaired and all enemies cleared from the room within the time alloted, he will open the doors and move to the next room.

Corridor 1 - There will be turrets and fighters in this room to be cleared, the mission time is paused in all corridors, use this time to decide strategy for the next area, provide repairs to teammates, let cooldowns expire, etc. The timer resumes when you cross the threshold to the next room.

Room 2 - There will be 2 BoP's that spawn when you enter along with fighters, as you enter have everyone go to Obisek on the opposite side from the entrance and provide cover until he calls out junctions again, then 2 will break off to the junctions on the sides of the room, junctions will have turrets guarding and BoP's will continue to spawn, one person should take fire from enemies while the other works the junctions. Once 1 and 3 are done Obisek will ask for 2 and 4, The 2 that split off should head for # 2 near the entrance, #4 will be directly under the door Obisek is at therefore the defenders can handle it. Again you will need to clear all enemies from the room before timer expires to open the door and proceed.

Corridor 2 - Once the door opened fighters will come out, clear them and proceed into the corridor. Again the timer pauses here, use the time to affect repairs wait out c/d's etc. Proceed to next room when ready.

Room 3 - Obisek will proceed to the Thalaron generator immediately, it is best to have 2 accompany him while the rest start clearing fighters and BoP's, while Obisek is working on disabling the thalaron generator he will need assistance with computer overrides and hacking, this is best done by one of his escorts, once enough of the attackers have been defeated an Warbird will decloak, all fire shoulod be concentrated on the warbird to keep them off of Obisek. During this time the Thalaron weapon will fire interemittently, you will see the lines off the firing arc before the blast, try to stay clear of the arc and provide healing to Obisek if he is hit by it. Once all enemies are defeated and the Thalaron generator is disabled the Vault is completed and you collect your datalogs/dilithium.

Good Luck!

THANK YOU!!!

This guide really helps. I rushed through that first corridor like an idiot, that's probably why the event fell apart. But now I know what to do next time. Thanks so much!
