ISE can either be record time runs now or totally crap - there are a lot of players who just get frustrated because they know they don't have enough DPS to complete the 10% sequence properly - i.e. most of the PUGs know to take generators to 10% but some could not blow the transformer in time.

The correct thing to do in a DPS fail situation is start doing riot control and knock out the nanite spheres as soon as they arrive at the gate... but instead what I observed was a general lack of initiative to adapt tactics and the frustrated ones simply shot at the transformer in vain then quit eventually as the swarm continued.

With fresh players though it can be entertaining to devise new non-standard tactics that the PUGs understand and implement correctly (with little micromanagement) to win the map for themselves.

On KASE it seemed that probes can now escape gravwells very easily so that adds to the difficulty. You can't just rely on a lone cat carrier with double gravs holding the fort. Escorts are highly recommended for ESTFs as it always was the case.

You know how I deal with ISE when people don't do the 10% thing properly?

Torpedo BoP with a Tac Captain.

People can't seem to knock 10% of these things in a volley. Both my Eng and Tac can do it. When I use my Tac I have a Bob and make sure I get <%20 Hull when the Transformers blow. I then do the Go Down Fighting ultimate combo and end up with ~15K DPS on each of my 3 Torps (I run 3 Torp - 1 DHC).

Takes the thing down as long as I get good Crits.

Yep!

That and repulsor + evasive + eject plasma/vent theta is a real easy way for a single ship to save the optional.

It is annoying to see many of the ISE PUGs use the so-called 'optimal' 8 antiproton beam array loadout aggressively touted by some. They have literally zero stopping power against Elite borg spheres.

I run a Tanking Cruiser (Mirror Star) for Cure Elite with 6 Disruptor BAs (With [Borg]) along with my MACO Set and 2 Torps (Quantum / Photon also with [Borg]).

I think its pretty good at taking down stuff in CSE. I don't really use Cruisers tho.

There have been times where I have seen even normal Infected Space's fail the optional generally because most of the puggers I have flown with recently have either mediocre dps or they lack any crowd control powers. I'm half tempt to switch back to my Kar'fi so I can at least handle crowds (though it lacks high enough dps to kill multiple spheres).

Most of the Infected I've seen fail are because everyone starts sphere-farming instead of ... attacking the transformer.

Sure, kill the ones labeled "nanite," but FFS, don't be halfway across the map from everything else trying to solo a couple of random spheres.

Part of getting the optional is to get the transformer down ASAP, this requires coordinated DPS, not leaving me to take it down by myself.

I've noticed alot of raptors/negvars moving through my grav. wells like they weren't even there. But difficulty? in space I haven't noticed much. Ground, seems like more and more NPCS can one shot you now.

Partly its the results of lots of little changes adding up. Gravity well not working, plasma procs having actual bite, ships with pay consoles, and so on. Plus I THINK Spheres now have more HP than the used to, but thats totally an impression as I don't have old numbers to compare to current ones. I just wish they'd give us clear documentation of when they do this stuff; I hate surprises.

I guess it could be getting stuck with low grade players, but I just want to make sure that nobody else has gone from just okay to total roflstomped.
Personaly I will agree with you, I have an Oddy that was ok doing STF's, before the last up date. so I bought with cash, a armitage heavy crusier, well outfitted, now I can not even play. every thing in the game comes at me. I thought it was an accident but after several tries all the same thing. If I had known they would change the rules I would not have paid cash for the ship. or the extras. so no your not wrong they are harder, one to make dilithium harder to get. two, to take our money and not allow us to play.

Ah just the threat i was looking for.

I have come here to say with much dissapointment that the borg have become olmost impossible to bare.

9 of the 10 times im lucky to get away with very low hull percentage, I mean cmon what the hell happened? my raptor on the klingon side has to get the shields down and only 1, yes 1 small torpedo to instantly kill me, which happens allot!

Conclusion, the borg have become overpowered.....its not fun anymore, im wasting lots of credits to repair my ship.

Havok out..........
