Those who bought Tiers 2, 3, and 4 Ships should get somekind of discount. Perhaps like Tier 2 and 3 get one Fleet Module discounted and Tier 4 get two Fleet Modules discounted.


Also, there is the ship costumes that are no longer available in the C-store.

They removed them to be used for Unique Fleet ship skins, well how come we didn't get somekind of discount since we already paid for these skins? So they should compensate us with a Fleet Module discount for that as well.

Wait, you can't use the skin on the C-Store MVAE?

I can use the skin on the C-store MVAE, but that happes to be because I bought it before they took it off the store. Now the only way to acquire it is to get the Fleet Advanced Escort. See as I own the MVAE I get a discount and only have to pay one ship module instead of 4... but now Im paying for the skin a second time.

But... you're not paying for the skin. You would've gotten the skin with or without having already owned it, because all the fleet ships are priced the same.

While I would appreciate any discount on Fleet Ships (or any discount on anything, really), the thing is, you're not just getting the skin when you buy a Fleet ship. You're getting a ship with boosts in stats, console slots, boff layouts, or whatever else advantages Fleet ships get, plus the skin, and a new, exclusive material scheme. [i]That's[i] what you're paying for when you buy your modules.

Considering that you can use the skin on the regular versions of the ships if you already own it, there's no reason to buy a Fleet ship unless you really want the Fleet ship's bonuses...which you're paying for.

With that in mind, the truth is that you're technically getting less value in a Fleet ship purchase, since the skin you get is not "exclusive" to that ship.

I won't contest that fleet ship prices are a bit crazy, and as I said I'll take any discount I can get, but all things considered, what you want isn't as justifiable as you think (tragedy, I know).

I knew that some fleet ships would require upto 4 modules, I kind of assumed that would be the top end Tier 5 ones like the Oddy and the lower ones would scale down accordingly.

But as far as I can see ALL fleet ships need 4 modules. Even the Tier 1 ones I have access to

2000 Zen or 32 million EC for a extra console slot or two and a new skin.

Sod that, I'll convert my Dil to Zen and just buy a C-store ship.

Keep in mind, if you buy the TIER 5 version of a ship that is available in a fleet variety, the fleet version will only cost you 1 module.

Might help your c-store purchase decision making.

I have enough Dil to convert to Zen to buy an Armitage
By the time my fleet gets to the right level (years probably!) I will have enough to buy one fleet module.

Diappointed as I kind of wanted to upgrade my current little Patrol Escort (formally Fleet Escort) into the Fleet Patrol Escort. As this is a tier 1 ship I didn't think it would cost 4 bloody modules. . . I'd have paid 8 mill EC for the upgrade, sure as hell not paying 32.

You need 4 moduls because the T1 Fleet ships aren't worse than Tier 5 fleet ships.
Example: the Fleet Patrol Escort can have the most engineering consoles. This means that the ship can be the one with the highest turn rate or the most resistances.
It has pretty much hull and a good shield modifier.

The Fleet Defiant or MVAE have a 5th tac console which gives them more dmg output.

But that doesn't mean they are better.

The Aquarius for another example is a tier 3 ship and when I look at it's stats, it looks like the worst of all fleet escorts. Maybe is has something special but I don't know it. I wouldn't buy the Aquarius ..... I WILL NOT buy any tac fleet ships because I hate the BO Layout on every ship. I stay with my lvl 40 Prometheus.

For the actual dilithium exchange prices you need around 100k Dilithium to get 500 Zen Points. So if you farmed enough you can buy them for dilithium.
