I will test some spreads later today.

Widow Fighters use Thermic Torpedos - just like my tooltip says. You can also see the difference when you are close enough to their projectiles - 3 rotating white balls of energy.

Finally got an Orb for my self.. And that Tholian Web is wicked. And it doesn't require an Arc, so it makes a great tool on the Tholian Carrier.

So if you get yourself a Tholian Carrier, also try to pick up an Orb if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed. The only down side is that the Tholian Web can't be acivated on anyone who's closer then 5km. So the opposite of Tractor beam distance.

I've seen people use the web thing very intelligently. It's a peculiar kind of hard CC, and I think it's something that's easy to mess up (GG you just trapped a teammate in a carnival ring with an enemy buffed Tac Escort) but it also pays off hard if you know what you're doing. Props to the people who've already learned how best to use it.

The web is easily destroyed tho. The individual pilons or whatever they are called die in several beam hits. Destroy 2 or 3 and you have way out of it. Really, it caught me couple of times, then I learned how to kill it.

Good for trapping escort and such, but wasted on cruiser with FAW.

Yes, the web can be eaisly delt with..

How ever that doesn't keep me from thinking "That's it, your in time out!" when ever I use it.

With the new Mine changes, brings a new Build...

I am currently flying the following with a new Tactical officer:

http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skil...nedeployment_0
(I don't think my skill point distribution is exactly as listed, but close enough)

It uses 4 Disruptor Single Cannons Fore, 1 Disruptor Turret Aft, 1 Tricobalt Mine Aft, and 1 Plasma Mine Aft.
It also uses Omega Deflector, Omega Shield, Borg Engine, and Borg console.
It's Pets are 2x Advanced Fer'jai Frigates
It uses 2x Very Rare Technician Doffs, and 3x Shield Distribution Doffs
It's Power settings are: 100/50/25/25
How ever I can also switch out the TB 3 and VM 3 for Scramble 2 and Grav well 2 (I haven't gone looking for some one to train Grav well 3 yet) In which case my Settings change to a more Aux based one of around 40/35/25/100
If I'm in my more Aux based setting, Aux to Bat helps to provide more Damage in short bursts. If not, Aux to Bat helps to provide Recharge recovery for Mine Dispersal Pattern Alpha, and all my other defenses that are needed.

Why Mine deployment patterns you may ask, and why alpha? Because Mine Deployment Pattern now affects Tricobalt Mines. And Alpha 2 will allow me to Deploy 3 Tricobalt Mines, but not all at once to get shot down by a lucky Faw shot. But much more slowly and one at a time.

It does not use Z-store Universal ship consoles.

Have fun.. kill Feds.

It's a Kar'fi, says so in the link and he has 4 fore weapons.

What are you getting out of the plasma mine tic, if you don't mind me asking? I've been wanting that to be viable for a long time.

It depends on if I'm Tac Buffed or not, and if I can get some one with 12 Mines. The Mine Dots can be pretty nasty if there's no healing going on. Though I don't have the Consoles to be able to buff the Plasma Mines, Disruptor Weapons, and Tric Mines. So I went with 2 Disruptor Consoles and 1 Tric Console.

It is Cannons and Turrets after all.
